I'd say probably 105-115. I imagine this will only be a 6 year gen. I'd guess it will average something like 17-18 million a year that's 102-108 then a couple million sold after the PS5 comes out.

That this is even a question proves how much a beast the PS4 is really. With a long enough lifespan it could end up selling 130 million. The PS2 had no competition, while the Xone offers some and who knows what NX will do. One thing is set in stone though and that is that the PS4 will end up between the first and the second one.

Why would it end up selling less than the PS3?
Back then the Xbox 360 was much more competitive than the Xbox One is today, and there was a Wii from nintendo.

This is not even mentioning the fact that the PS4 was design to become cheap over time.
PS4 will sell much cheaper than the PS3 ever did, eventually.

Its obviously going to sell more than the PS3.

I doubt that PS4 will surpass PS2. But it will happen with PS1.

Depends how long this console generation is going to be.
If we are half way through it... Nope. No. No way. Impossibru.
If the generation is an extended one, then sure.

I think Microsoft is going to kick start the next gen early though, which will place competitive pressure on Sony to react.

If it wasn't for Sony this industry would be dead my now.
