Yeah the N64 was unusual in that it probably had 3/5 top games for its generation despite being nowhere close to market leader.

Such a dumb, dumb decision to use carts-only, N64 should have sold at least 50-60+ million consoles with a better stream of third party ports at least.

It is pretty weird. Their games were either the best ever to come out ever, or very forgettable.

The Nintendo 64 also had some of the worst games of that entire generation. *Cough* Superman *Cough*

Still a great machine though... And other than PC had the best looking games of that generation like Perfect Dark, which could show what the console could do when programmed it's way.

As for the NX, it wouldn't be hard for it to beat the WiiU, Nintendo just needs to get 3rd party's on board and drop the gimmicks... Combine that with their market leading 1st and 2nd party devs, they would be onto a winner in my opinion.

Just Zelda like launch title and proper marketing and name will push NX beyond Wii U numbers, not to mention other things.

I think it will, due to losing the 'Wii' name.
But Nintendo's reputation has been destroyed and I'm not sure they will ever get back to greatness.

Easily, I remember when Golden Eye 007 arrived on market nothing similar wasn't exist on market.
