I'll watch it on TV in a couple of years. Or netflix when it comes (if it comes)!

I wonder which will release first. Ratchet & Clank on Netflix, or Zelda U...

That's legit and it hurts :(

Ratchet and Clank seems like one of those movies that will go almost straight to Netflix after it's physical release.  So I am thinking it will be on Netflix just after holidays, either Jan or Feb 2017.  Zelda U will release no earlier than March.  My money is on R&C on Netflix.

Same. Been a fan since the beginning and I'll definitely watch the movie tomorrow and make my own biased opinion about it :)

Ignore most of the reviews if you've read any. It's getting a HUGE amount of critic hate for a myriad of ridiculous reasons - it has guns therefore it's bad, it's based on a video game therefore it's bad, it's not Disney so I don't like it, somebody else said it's bad so it's bad. Seriously, the critic hate is real here. Somebody compared it to one of the worst films of all time just to be extreme about it.

Going over the reviews on Rotten Tomatoes, it seems like reviewers are hung up on: 1) Ratchet & Clank is based on a video game, and 2) we've seen it all before. The only comment I keep seeing that makes me wary is that it's a kids movie, not a family movie, reinforcing the obnoxious tone I was trying to ignore from the trailers.

Gonna go see it regardless, but keeping my expectations far lower than I'd prefer.

It definitely leans younger, yeah. I blame that on the writing direction - series writer TJ Fixman left after the first draft because of so-called creative differences, and he's never been known to, say, shoehorn in a bunch of extra characters.

You should check out my YouTube channel, The Golden Bolt!  I review all types of video games, both classic and modern, and I also give short flyover reviews of the free games each month on PlayStation Plus to tell you if they're worth downloading.  After all, the games may be free, but your time is valuable!

That really sucks. I dont know if im going to take my son now. If its as boring as a movie like home i wont go.

Edit: user reviews are at 70% and critic reviews 23% so might still see it. Fingers crossed at me and my son enjoying it

Not a fan of the series, but I hope I can become a fan after watching the movie and then playing the ps4 game. I don't think cinemas in my country will show it, so hopefully I'll watch next month in the London.

Just make sure to watch an English dub.  I've heard the other dubs are absolutely awful.  I'd also recommend playing the game first, because that's more likely to hype you up for the film than the film is for the game.  The game has a (somehow) shallower plot and skips interesting film details, so you'd be getting a bit more out of watching the film later.

Looks like it'll be an average movie (5-6/10) with some decent laughs and hopefully some fan service. That's all I'm expecting. I don't get guys like the Collider movie talk crew who said it's the worst looking trailer ever or stuff like that because while kinda bland looking it doesn't look OFFENSIVELY bad like a BvS or a Transformers. I'll come back with my review after I catch a matinee today.

I was gonna watch it but it has been getting wrecked by critics so i'm not even gonna bother. I'll pick it up when it's out for rentals. Glad the game is still great tho.

Critics this year seem to be shooting blanks more often than not, so I would actually read their pieces instead of just looking at scores. You may be surprised what they're pinning the film for.
