Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Um, NX was NOT delayed!

Where are you people getting this from? A Holiday 2016 release date was only wishful thinking and not very realistic.

Let's not make such bold statements, people might start believing it was actually delayed when it was not.

Nintendo never announced an official launch date at all, thus NX was never delayed.

I always thought it was hard to delay something that was never announced.

Doesn't matter though, the only reason people were trying to use this arguement was to try and somehow be right about a bet that they lose even if it were true the console was delayed.

No, but Zelda did. And that hurts my butt.

There are "'consumer dates" and "internal dates." Every project is given an internal date or a window in which its expected to be finished/released. Just because they have not announced a consumer date does not mean a delay couldn't have happened... which more than likely happened.

At the end of the day though, it doesn't matter.

Didn't Kimishima say that the NX won't come out holiday 2016 to secure a solid lineup ?

Wait what? If the NX wasn't delayed 4 years why would they release some stopgap for it?

If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.

I just came in here for the GT5 nostalgia feeling

“It appeared that there had even been demonstrations to thank Big Brother for raising the chocolate ration to twenty grams a week. And only yesterday, he reflected, it had been announced that the ration was to be reduced to twenty grams a week. Was it possible that they could swallow that, after only twenty-four hours? Yes, they swallowed it.”

Delay

1. To postpone until a later time

If Kimishima, you know, the CEO of Nintendo is to be believed, that is exactly what happened.

Funnily enough, Zelda which was slated to release at 2016, was convinently delayed and now not only has an official NX version(which 100% they decided to do after they knew they were releasing NX in march, there is no conspiracy here), but also will (probably) launch with the NX.But yeah sure,it was because of quality issue. Its just a coincidence....

As people said it, there exist one thing as internal release date. They dont stipulate the release date for themselves in the moment they make it public. They have it planned long ago.

My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.
