Feeling that emotionally attached to a company would feel weird. Its just a company. So Im not mad. But I do question their methods of decision making

i am not a dedicated Nintendo fan but all i can say is: its good to have a Wii U and a PS4.

There's nothing to be angry about today. They are making hopefully smart decisions for a bright future. They made decisions which were obviously poor 5 or more years ago, but you can't correct the past. Only change for the future.

When I learned of both news I had a laugh at the ridiculousness. If MS and Sony have their new hardware ready before NX, then they have a lot of momentum/ hype to start. Plus PS VR also gets momentum.

I hope it is worth it for Nintendo.

Not really, just disappointed

Same, but for the past decade.

At first I was, but giving it some thought I'm ok. Actually happy, if the delay is to have a great launch line up.

Bet with Teeqoz for 2 weeks of avatar and sig control that Super Mario Odyssey would ship more than 7m on its first 2 months. The game shipped 9.07m, so I won

It is kinda funny how Sony fans basically get everything they want ... Final Fantasy VII Remake? Yup Sony got it. Last Guardian? OK. Uncharted 4? Yup. VR? Yup we're doing it. Even doing Shenmue III. Sounds like Crash Bandicoot is coming back too.

Meanwhile at Nintendo ... lol, we're bracing ourselves for Paper Mario (the only notable Wii U only release left) to not suck like Sticker Star did because we have nothing to really look forward to for the next year now. And we just kinda got a half-assed Star Fox I guess which got force fed a bizarre control scheme no one asked for.

We get treated like shit and it's not like this hardware was cheap either. I paid $350 for the Wii U and $250 for the 3DS ... $600 ... for quite honestly pretty low powered/outdated hardware and we're all hoping and begging that the NX, coming 3+ years after the PS4 will at least match the PS4 spec.

We really do get treated like peasants.

Except you ignore Smash 4, Mario Kart 8, Splatoon, Xenoblade Chronicles X, Tokyo Mirage Sessions, 3D World, DK Tropical Freeze, Woolly World, Bayonetta 1 & 2, Pikmin 3, Mario Maker, etc. This doesn't include the great 3DS games they've developed and released. Nintendo did as much as they could during the same amount of time the PS4 is about to get bigger games for their system. In the end, the Wii U is going nowhere for Nintendo. You could probably say we've been treated like peasants at least from the second half of 2015 till now, but damn, I haven't even played everything that I wanted to play that's been released before 2015. I can't say we've been treated like shit due (at least before the second half of 2015) with the games I've mentioned. As a developer, Nintendo did a helluva lot for both 3DS and Wii U. Call me a fanboy all u want, but I can't ignore the games I've mentioned.

A little, I was looking forward to playing Zelda U this year over Christmas break. But I can wait a few more months. Maybe if the NX piques my interest (and is cheap - $300 or less) I will buy it at launch, otherwise I will just get it for the Wii U.

Nope, disappointed about the late NX, but I couldn't care less about E3, it's not really needed with Gamescom anyway.

I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.

Sure yes Nintendo is still capable of releasing some good 1st party games ... if they weren't they would have zero customers, but yes sometimes when you look at how hard a company like Sony is trying and doing things and marketing and push technology constantly and giving their fans what they want ...

It's hard as a Nintendo fan to not feel like you're kinda in an abusive relationship like curl-6 kinda implied, lol.

Really we're so beaten down as Nintendo fans that we are surprised/overjoyed when Nintendo bothers to market anything, we've been conditioned to accept hardware that is 5-6 years behind everyone else while paying almost the same price is ok, every second E3 being terrible is the norm, well now we're at maybe one good E3 conference every 3 years, long software droughts are ... normal, lack of new IPs is ... normal, no third party support ... normal. We wait months at a time for Nintendo Directs like starving dogs hoping for some table scraps to chew on.

I mean imagine the freaking shit show that would erupt if Sony/MS basically said they were skipping on E3 after having a terrible E3 the year before and only bringing one game to the show basically which is being delayed for PS4.5 or XB2 ... lol, Sony/MS fans would riot but for Nintendo fans ... it's just another day being a Nintendo fan.
