Forums - Gaming Discussion - Nintendo & YT Content ID system for copyrighted content successfully trolled by Jim Sterling

Aaaaaaaw I thought there were already some results.

If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.

It was only a matter of time before someone figured a smart way around it, especially considering that Youtube doesn't even seem to fix the problems that the copyright system has most of the time, and when they do it apparently takes forever. (I'm basing that off of what other Youtubers have said about it).

How dare they make money off him while he's making money off them.

Saw that video the other day, laughed my ass off. xD

"Just for comparison Uncharted 4 was 20x bigger than Splatoon 2. This shows the huge difference between Sony's first-party games and Nintendo's first-party games."

It's not "successful" unless it gets a reaction/response. He did it to troll them. Whether it's successful is yet to be seen.

Brilliant move.
I picture Sterling grabbing a handful of coins and throwing them into the ocean. "Want my pennies, Nintendo? Well go and fetch'em then you fucking wankers." And then Reggie dives after them like the tool he is.

I did not know that.

So if two or more companies have a claim to the video - neither of them can forcibly monetize it, or put ads on it?

I would have guessed it would have "split" the ad money between anyone who put a claim on a video.

I suppose YT didn't have provisions for when something like that happens, so Jim gets to troll the system, making actual people having to go to the video, check if the system messed up, and force them to make a decision while contacting both companies.

Nintendo is selling their IPs to Microsoft and this is true because:

So Jim's calling his method the "copyright Deadlock" =P.

Loved the ending of the video.

Step right up come on in, feel the buzz in your veins, I'm like an chemical electrical right into your brain and I'm the one who killed the Radio, soon you'll all see

So pay up motherfuckers you belong to "V"

Git gud Jim.

Smart move... also brutal review of starfox zero.

i honestly wonder how that game got a 71 meta score. just shows that reviewers go way to easy on Nintendo just because they are Nintendo.
