I honestly can't speak for everyone, but personally, I'm more than satisfied.

  • Xenoblade Chronicles X
  • Probably my favorite Yoshi game
  • Probably my favorite Smash Bros.
  • Tons of Zelda (albeit spinoffs and remakes, I'm a big enough fan that I don't care)
  • Mario Maker, Splatoon, and Mario Kart surprises
  • Introduced me to Earthbound, Monster Hunter, and Pikmin
  • Lots of great multimedia features (universal remote, second screen for watching TV away, etc)
  • Chitoge in Mario Maker
The last one alone was enough to win the gen for me...hehe.
But in all seriousness, it won't even come to close to the other platforms this generation in terms of software breadth, but in terms of overall quality, I'd say it's done a fantastic job of appealing to me, and I don't even remotely regret my purchase.

No! not even close! and with the latest news Nintendo has managed to take a huge dump on it's core userbase. The only reason Zelda is delayed is because NX is. Would it not have been nice to give the loyal Wii U userbase its Zelda game this holiday, kind of as a timed exclusive. Now us Wii U owners have even less to play than the slim pickings we had before. Man did I make the right decision to buy a PS4. NX is a definite no buy for me.

Really, zippy?

Previously you've said that you won't buy NX because you still have so much to play on the Wii U and PS4. Now suddenly you have nothing to play on the Wii U and that is one of the reasons why you won't buy NX.

I have previously said that I wont buy NX because I dont wont to spend money on new Nintendo hardware so soon (Expensive hobby). I said I will play the best Wii U has to offer, then work my way through Wii and virtual console games, whilst keeping up with current games on my PS4. Considering I have almost played through the most relevent Wii U games, there is very little on the horizon and the biggest draw for me has been delayed even further.

No.

Well they actually made this claim in June 2015, with the implication that they would continue to support the Wii U strongly ... and uh ...

Well I guess in a volume sense they released an OK number of Wii U games since then, but in an effort sense they clearly bailed out on this system so the statement was somewhat misleading as some people took it to mean things like a Metroid U and Animal Crossing U would happen. In that sense, Nintendo lied out their ass.

Just a matter of what you consider "support" to be.

Well I spent $220 on the Wii U and over $1200 on games, controllers, and accessories (read: amiibo) for it. I'd say I'm very satisfied.

You're allowed to be satisfied and still have issues with the product. I'm not fond of Nintendo holding Zelda back for an NX launch at all, nor am I happy with Paper Mario, the lack of a Metroid title, and so on. But that doesn't mean I'm not happy with what we've gotten so far.

You should check out my YouTube channel, The Golden Bolt!  I review all types of video games, both classic and modern, and I also give short flyover reviews of the free games each month on PlayStation Plus to tell you if they're worth downloading.  After all, the games may be free, but your time is valuable!

I can't say i regret purchasing my Wii U really, but no i'm not entirely satisfied. I expected a good Mario Party, Paper Mario, Mario Tennis, Star Fox game, didn't get any of those. Also, it seems that Metroid is dead at this point. I also expected a more traditional 3D Pokemon game, although Pokken Tournament is really good.

EDIT: Also i can't believe that Game Cube support is still not a thing in this console, we need more Virtual Console support, if you are not making new games, at least give us old games that not everyone got to play at a good price.

No, far from it, I think that the last game I enjoyed on the console was Yoshi's Woolly World, their Holiday's 2015 lineup was a bad joke and the release schedule for 2016 is just plain laughable.

Seeing as I have more games than I have time to play them all on the system, I'd say yeah, very satisfied, and will continue to be with TMS #FE, Color Splash, and Zelda coming later on.
