Nintendo did tweet to everyone that its coming to NX as well.

A tweet missed by the mass market. The only covered version this summer will be the Wii U one and the one in mind by everyone will be that one.

Sighhhh. I hope Nintendo knows what they are doing cause if NX doesn't sell well, then its gonna be bad

They are launching a new piece of hardware in march. 5 years ago the same disaster happend with their handheld. Missing the holidays was a mistake they learned and admitted months after. We know they don't know what they are doing anymore.

You think the main reason why the 3DS stumbled out of the gate was due to not releasing in the fall? Not the lackluster launch titles or very high price?

they never said anything about them both releasing at the same time. But I think they are becase it should be a launch title.

Both of them. Holidays give hardware a boost that March can't.

Proud to be the first cool Nintendo fan ever

Number ONE Zelda fan in the Universe

DKCTF didn't move consoles

Prediction: No Zelda HD for Wii U, quietly moved to the succesor

Predictions for Nintendo NX and Mobile

Because screwing Wii U owners literally doesn't matter to the sales of the NX.

This isn't rocket science. We don't matter. NX owners will.

My question is why wont they show the NX off at a time when all eyes are on them? There is nothing bigger than E3 in the gaming world. Doesn't make sense to me. Are they really going to announce a ND 1 or 2 days before they show it off?

Same reason because Sonny and MS did not revile PS4/XB1 at E3.

I'm just surprised that they're missing the 30th anniversary of Zelda for this.
Didn't expect that, but I guess the NX version is really important to them.

Actually NX is very important for them. :)

Why shouldnt nintendo have let zelda U as a 2016 holiday game(and get all the holiday attention(and sales), not backstabbing wii U owners, not dirting its imaging delaying another game again...), then release NX on 2017 march, with no zelda(keep the schedule of the console). And then release zelda NX on 2017 holidays(to again get the holiday attention, sell NX better than in the launch).
I cant see a only reason why releasing zelda U and NX on the same day, on 2017 march is better than separated release dates.
Could someone explain me?

Becuse Wii U is dead and now they have new platform, so they dont want people to be hyped about Wii U game when that same game will be availible on new platform. They dont want people buying Wii U in order to play Zelda U and talking about it, they want people buying NX in order to play Zelda.

If they launch Zelda on Wii U this year and few moments later on NX, Zelda on NX would be just port of Wii U game, but launching game game on NX basically means brand new Zelda game and not port of Wii U game that is already released few months earlier.

Shortly, launch of Zelda U on NX will help greatly NX to have successful launch.

The only excuse for 2016 was the 30th anniversary.

But do you want to know why? Because it doesn't matter how many times they delay and lie in our faces, people will still defend them, regardless of how bad are their decisions. The problem is not Nintendo making bad decisions, but those supporting those mistakes.

Other companys delays games too! don't act like it's only Nintendo!

Name one other company that delayed one of their five biggest running franchises for 1,5-2 years, all the while lying about it, and then revealing it to be cross-platform with their next-gen console after shooting down speculation on that the whole time (they kept insisting it was Wii U only and they promised launch at least on two separate occassions and missed both), ultimately pissing off the majority of their userbase. Not to mention leaving their platform more or less barren for the biggest sales season in what is only its fourth year on the market.

This is a fairly unique situation, and with it being so blatantly obvious, I find it rather in poor taste that they didn't just come out and say it earlier, or at the very least held back on the denial. It's not like Wii U sales could get much worse, regardless of their announcements.

People are upset not because of the delays in themselves, but due to the incredibly awkward and dishonest way it was handled all along. They put themselves in this situation from the release, or even the planning phase of the Wii U though, let's hope it's a wake-up call for them at long last.
