Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Why they have to launch zelda U and NX on the same day?

Why shouldnt nintendo have let zelda U as a 2016 holiday game(and get all the holiday attention(and sales), not backstabbing wii U owners, not dirting its imaging delaying another game again...), then release NX on 2017 march, with no zelda(keep the schedule of the console). And then release zelda NX on 2017 holidays(to again get the holiday attention, sell NX better than in the launch).
I cant see a only reason why releasing zelda U and NX on the same day, on 2017 march is better than separated release dates.
Could someone explain me?

They should have release it in 2015.
The only excuse for 2016 was the 30th anniversary.

But do you want to know why? Because it doesn't matter how many times they delay and lie in our faces, people will still defend them, regardless of how bad are their decisions. The problem is not Nintendo making bad decisions, but those supporting those mistakes.

The need of the entire game industry market that has skipped Wii U outweighs the need of the Wii U owners.

Why not release a remaster versiom three months later? Because three months is too short compared to one year. Wii U was a mistake for Nintendo and they're willing to try Wii U owners' patience a little longer. They could offer a discount for Wii U owners for the NX version since it wont out sell GC TP's 1.5 million sales to earn some goodwill. It wont affect their profits too much. But we'll see.

Maybe we still support them because we live in reality? maybe. i can wait, im patient. Aslong as the game releases idc. Now they have more time to work on the game and make it perfection. Every single hour, every single month extra of developing time, makes this more worthwhile imo. ANd when i know this i dont care.

Reality is that they are not working to make it a better game, they are working to make it run on another piece of hardware. Do you still don't care?

Zelda is listed as 2017 and The NX is specific to March 2017, not sure they are coming out the same day.

They want to pull the original Twilight Princess launch, not The Last of Us launch.

My question is why wont they show the NX off at a time when all eyes are on them? There is nothing bigger than E3 in the gaming world. Doesn't make sense to me. Are they really going to announce a ND 1 or 2 days before they show it off?

Clue maybe in AMD's report, AMD don't start their new chips until the second half of the year which is after E3.

Yeah maybe... They should still show off some games for it though.
