And I agree with your assessment on white guilt. When it comes to Germany, in particular, the Nazi guilt has been doing more harm than good. However, analyzing how the German government has handled the migrant situation, the authoritarian crackdown on what the media reports is rather reminiscent of the type of censorship Nazi Germany imposed back then. In complete irony, Germany is fulfilling the Horseshoe Theory.

I think you're colating two different things, Islamophobia isn't technically racism, because Islam is not a race. 

But you're kidding yourself if you don't think you can be Islamophobic. If I go beat someone up on the street for wearing a head scarf or spit on them, I'm not Islamophobic? Or even less threatening, lets say I run a shop and refuse to serve a Islamic looking person because I don't like them. That's not Islamophobia? What exactly is it then?

I was going to stay out of this thread but I have to call this out. Islamophobia is kind of a poor term when  it comes to describing that particular form of discrimination but writing it off as a whole is just dumb. No one should be called racist or anything for simply being critical of a religion and its beliefs but I have seen blatant racism against Arab Muslims

Being islamophobe means fearing islamic rule, which is fairly logical since islams deathcount is 270 million and still going strong. What this has to do with hitting women with a headscarf i dont know, but i like how you just crammed it in there.
Correlation doesnt imply causation and you know this. I like how you are also implying that islamophobes hit women wearing headscarfs, hillarious.
You are starting to sound like a true social justice warrior.

No, lol Islamophobia is a fairly simple term ... it means discriminating against someone because they are Muslim or look Muslim. 

Fearing Islamic rule is quite frankly paranoia ... Europe is 90%+ non-Muslim, good luck on that Islamic revolution. It's like having one black person on your soccer team and being scared to death you might turn into a rapper. 

On the Social justice warrior thing, lol ... maybe too many boys (not going to use the term men) are pussies these days? To be honest all this whining and crying on the internet, that isn't how a man behaves, a man is a man because he's secure in who he is and no woman is going to change that. I'm finding a bunch of whiners the first time they face any adversity in life. I like video games just fine, but it's kinda sad too that you have a generation of boys lined up for comic book movies who probably can't even do 10 push ups and then wonder why they don't have a girlfriend complaining on the internet about how they're "oppressed" by a 90 pound woman. Gimme a break.

If you're letting some woman "oppress" you, I dunno, maybe manliness is a open question. Why are you even arguing with women on the internet?

As much as I enjoy games I'm glad that I grew up basically a jock, too many freaking wusses out there.

My point is on white guilt. And my problem with refugee's today is that many are there for economical reasons. Turkey is reasonably safe, and most of the middle east is fine as well. Many of these refugee's also weren't even syrian (only 40% where). And most of syria is reasonably safe enough to stay. My father would've been killed if he stayed in iran, and he actually applied for asylum. 

Middle East safe? That's an oxymoron.

 

I have to say one thing though- it's only certain areas where it's basically unliveable. Besides the few rich people who love to waste their money, much of the Middle East is like living in the ghetto.
