So I've been listening to the Xenoblade Chronicles X OST for awhile now and I understand the 'controversy' around this composer. He has an unusual style and the vocals in his songs are debatable. Sometimes the sound is too loud and the vocals contain cringeworthy grammar errors and bad accents when sung in another language. But I think he uses some of the best 'techno' soundeffects I've ever heard that fit very well in a alien/space-like setting. And I have to be honest, some tracks really remind me of Metroid prime and I think would fit really well in a semi-realistic dark HD Metroid Prime game. Examples:

With the supervision of Nintendo and NO VOCALS, this might actually work out. This probably raises the question, why not stick with Kenji Yamamoto? His music is brilliant and definitely a big part of the Metroid series, but I think sequels need new things to stay fresh, while remaining the original quality.
