So again, people who don't agree with you cant have a different opinion? Seriously. Just shut the hell up already. -.-

Does it get you worked up?

Does it get under your skin?

Does just the thought of me reiterating how much of a disasterpiece Skyward Sword is, against all opposition, get you mad?

Good.

Someone basically said Skyward Sword was bad?

This game collapsed on nearly every level. Only problem SS really had with some was controls, but those controls were not broken, just different. These controls in SFZ are not different, just broken.

Star Fox Zero's controls are not broken. They are just bad, and worse, they are arbitrarily taking place of a control scheme that is functionally superior in every conceivable way while also being simpler. Like Skyward Sword.

Judging from the reviews I don't think anyone liked it lol

I like it! :P. I don't really care about reviews as long as I enjoy it. I knew the game was going to be divisive, so I'm not surprised about the reactions. Controls seem to be the main problem. Well, I think there are part of the games which would be nearly impossible without the second screen, so I won't count on them updating the game XD. I remember being shocked the first time I've tried gyro controls in Splaton, Wiimote motion controls... Hell, even the first time I've tried a joystick! I think the process of adjusting to a new control scheme is... natural.

Oh yeah. I did NOT like motion controls in Splatoon at all. Then I played a little more and loved them. When I switched back to analog controls they felt unresponsive and awkward.

@OP: I'm having a blast with Zero and Guard. But I get that the control scheme could be a turn off for some fans. It's too bad, because I think there's a great game there and GamePad integration only makes it more fun and immersive - which is ultimately what I want from a game. But, hey, I get it. Some critics and consumers rejected Skyward Sword because of motion controls. A lot of gamers pooh-poohed Donkey Kong Country Returns for the same reason. I even remember a user here who couldn't get past Metroid Prime's lack of dual analog so he never finished it. It's tough to make everyone happy all of the time.

To everyone whose below 30 (this includes reviewers):

This is an arcade game. Arcade games are meant to be challenging, they are meant to be short and to play through several times, becoming more skillful each time. Starfox is basically a 3D-Shot'em Up (but most of you probably don't know what it is as you are too young).

Nintendo openly said you need a few hours to get used to the Gamepad control and they think it's good that you have to learn it as it motivates you to get better and better, the main motivation and fun of every arcade game.

I don't get it, nowadays, people basically only want playable "Let's Plays" because they shy away from challenges and because they have no time as there are so many supposedly good games they have to play. Back in the days there weren't that many great games coming out on a regular basis. We had to play the few good ones to the death, making us very skillful gamers. Where's that spirit gone?

My tip: Don't buy every game that got hyped or having high ratings. Instead, play through games you love a 2nd or 3rd time and don't think you will miss on something.

You guys are breaking my heart. I was buying this game today. Now, I'm not.

I just finished the game once. It's a tech demo with shitty controls, and I'm not just talking about the gyro. The walker controls like shit, the landmaster controls like shit, locking on to anything controls like shit, everything using the right analog stick save for turning left or right is a fucking nightmare.

And the level design is incredibly mediocre.

Also, if you've followed this game pre-launch, you've seen everything already. Short of Venom, there were no surprises during my first run. The Andross fight is so bad, forcing you to wrestle with the shitty walker controls in a confined space.

Venom was awesome, and the only example of above average level design in the entire game. Felt like flying through the Death Star.

I cannot get over how much of a dropped ball the walker was. Platinum made VANQUISH! This was their chance to make the walker into this bad-ass gundam-like mecha suit with fast TPS action. Instead, we get this nightmare.

Even on it's own merits, this game is bad. Don't let Nintendo's polish fool you - this may as well be Star Fox's Skyward Sword. An absolute train wreck and a slap in the face to Star Fox fans. This project had absolutely no passion put into it.

Mmmm, Vanquish...

SS is the best 3D Zelda btw.

Think for yourself pal, there are a lot of negative people around here these days.

I played a little bit of it, and... man, I'm going to need to adjust to the controls. It's really difficult managing 2 screens at once. Makes me feel like a chump at this series. Aside from the controls, this new game really feels new and fresh. So far only the beginning seems a little similar to SF64. The rest has been new and fresh. It feels like an entirely new game. I really want to master the controls and see all that this game has to offer.

So yeah.. I like the game! Thumbs up!
