Eh, hearing the bad reviews, I'm going to let my first starfox game by Starfox 64 3D. It's only 10-20 bucks now.

12/22/2016- Made a bet with Ganoncrotch that the first 6 months of 2017 will be worse than 2016. A poll will be made to determine the winner. Loser has to take a picture of them imitating their profile picture.

I'm enjoying it, but I really can see how this game will be really hit and miss. The bizarre control scheme will not appeal to some people. I found it comfortable since the beginning, now I'm mastering them. My only problem was with the Walker, but I managed to get good at it. Now, obviously I don't expect that everyone will like them. The best option would have been give an alternative option to motion controls and dual screen. I'd probably still use this control scheme (because I feel that mastering this control scheme would make me better in this game than standard controls), but more choices don't harm anyone.

About the speed, I don't think that it's... slow? Maybe the gyrowing sections but I think they're a nice change of pace. Arwing sections are definitely fast.

I've been playing for a couple hours now and I gotta say I don't hate it. I don't love it either, personally I don't like the many vehicles, the walking mode and the hover-helicopter thing are slow and annoying as hell, but otherwise Im liking it a lot.  The change of vehicles is the main thing that ruins the experience for me because clearly this game is more enjoyable when you are using the airwing.

As far as the controls goes. Honestly I don't hate them. They are weird, yes, but as every control gimmick you get used to them and become trivial. For me this was something that was harshly criticized that did not become a major issue, at least for me, but everyone experiences it differently and I get where all the hate comes from. Being pretty much forced to use different controls is always a pain.

all it's just like a said, I don't hate it, but it just tries very hard to let me love it at times.  It's a game I think every fan of the series could enjoy a lot and someone who never played the N64 version at least is probably gonna hate.

Basically the controls and design choices hamper it is what Im hearing.
They should have just let platinum make a balls to the wall starfox game. But they tried to hard to make a the gamepad useful

Incredible that this game was produced by Miyamoto and Inaba and still made it to shelves like this. I personally think it's horrible, one of the worst jokes Nintendo has published in the last 10 years, maybe.

My biggest grip are the controls, precisely.

My bet with The_Liquid_Laser: I think the Switch won't surpass the PS2 as the best selling system of all time. If it does, I'll play a game of a list that The_Liquid_Laser will provide, I will have to play it for 50 hours or complete it, whatever comes first.

I was afraid the controls were going to hamper this game.

Haven't played it yet but if/when I do, certainly not at its current price point.

1. Can't play co-op from the start.
2. No audio settings.
3. FPS in many stages is atrocious. I literally got slideshow in battle with giant Spider on frozen planet. It's reminded me worst cases of Wonderful 101 performance.
4. Walker is super cool. I've got more problems with Arwing control.

5. From content viewpoint it's about 15% of W101. This game should not be 50 $ game. It's more like early access, than full release.

Those first two levels felt really slow.

I will play it through, but I really actually hate it so far.

You definitely won't be alone on that XD. This game will be divisive with gamers, as it was with reviewers. And I can really see why.

About the speed I'm not sure about that, I'm an avid SF64 fan and I feel that Zero is faster. Except for the gyrowing/walker parts, I'm talking just about the Arwing parts.

I hate this game.

"Just for comparison Uncharted 4 was 20x bigger than Splatoon 2. This shows the huge difference between Sony's first-party games and Nintendo's first-party games."

Where can I find it for 10-20 bucks? :D
