I get what you are trying to say, but saying the answer to harrasment is to turn off the PC is a very ignorant argument to make. We are in 2016, where a lot of people make living, pay their bills and take care of their families by having an online persona. Growing a thicker skin or turning off a PC is not an option. Harrastment must stop.
But hypocresy should stop with it as well, and in that point I agree with you OP.

Except it's the feminists and SJWs who are doing the harassing. These are the same cretins who will call the the cops on you, harass you, dox you, try to get you fired from your job, ruin your life and relationships, try to put your company out of business (*cough*PLAYASIA*cough*), the whole nine yards if you disagree with them or don't portray fictional characters the way THEY want you to.

These aren't just a few mentally-depraved, sociopathic lunatics who give the Westboro Fascist Church a run for their money (which IS an accurate statement), they're infecting ALL areas of life, not only through impeding artist's freedom of expression in games, music,  movies, comics, anime, manga, etc., but actively destroying people's lives over it!

Case in point.

And this is FAR from the only example. This isn't the exception, this is the rule with these cretins.

VR gaming is going to be interesting because I'm pretty sure virtual sex/porn is going to be a big part of it, which will make things like DOAX look like a Saturday Morning cartoon.

KT and the president of Sony have already said why it's not coming here. Even in their "response" where they tried to distance themselves from the community manager's statements, they admitted it outright:

"We remain focused on delivering the best in fighting entertainment to our fans around the world, while consciously respecting and strategizing to support the different global audiences the Dead or Alive Franchise lends itself to."

Hell, SJWs started attacking Play-Asia for importing DOAX3. In fact, some even threatened to dox them, put them out of business by contacting game companies not to sell their games through them, even get them fired for importing the game FFS!

But don't take MY word for it.

Really? That is quite hilarious if anything. Considering how critically panned the game is in the east, I think actually bringing them here would damage the DOAX brand more than doing all that nonsense.

I see... Entire 'Social Justice' thing has went nowhere very quickly.

You would get the issue if you were a woman and lived as such but since you ain't I kinda understand why you are so ignorant.

Spartacus, sex and the city and the likes? I am all for women's rights but don't be ridiculous. If men want to oogle fake women in their own living room, why not? Women do it!! Would you whine and complain if the game included scantily clad men and women?

it this self proclaimed inferiority complex that makes women (at least in my country) keep the topic alive. Sure. If your in s horrible country where women are still treated badly. But otherwise, get over it!!

Mhm...

There's simply no balance when it comes to objectification because of how nature works. This isn't going to change.

The way men exploit women differs from the way that women exploit men. Men are after sex and pretend love to get it, women are after money and pretend love to get it. Do men mind when they get exploited for sex? The vast majority doesn't; actually, they would be happy about getting used in such a way. Do men mind when they get exploited for money? Oh yes, they are very upset about that.

So if as a man you want to get somewhat of an understanding of how women might feel about objectification, replace sex with money. It isn't the same, but at least it's a whole lot closer than looking at it from the perspective of sex vs. sex.

"Man"

"woman"

?

You are part of the problem. Massive generalisations. I'm respectful to women but even my wife agrees that Pervy guys should be allowed have Pervy games, movies or pictures. Pervy women should be allowed have the same. I'm sure lesbians play DOA. Or is that different?

Nobody was exploited here. It's graphics shaped like a woman. Some "men" care about other men being oogled. Some don't. Just like some women don't care and some women do. Exploitation is sex trafficking. But again, some people believe in controlled prostitution. Maybe we should make video games illegal and ban play boy, so then all the lesser men can become sexually frustrated and turn to underground prostitution?

seriously though. Enough with the generalisations. It's ridiculous.

Ironically the same radical feminists that are "triggered" and offended by attractive women wearing swimsuits in games are the same ones that advocate that women should walk around half naked and cry "misogyny" and "patriarchy" when they are "shamed", criticized, or even glanced by anyone for doing so.

You win the "Ace Attorney" award for pointing out a glaring contradiction.

I was being sarcastic. however, most people online could easily avoid issues by ignoring or blocking people on the internet.

I've seen many people give me insults. What do I do? Block them when they won't listen to my request for them to stop. Simple as that

Lol. Not this again.

My girlfriend is a thin girl with exceptionally large breasts. Just the other day she was lamenting to me that it's frustrating that women with huge boobs are seldom portrayed in media without complaints. We were watching a romantic comedy and the female lead had little boobs and was seducing the sexy guy lead and she just said, "why can't the heroine's ever have big boobs?" It's not like she's oppressed or anything because she has a gigantic rack, but she is a person like anyone else, and like all of us kind of enjoys seeing characters in media - film, games, whatever - that represent us in some way. And those that complain about female characters with very sexual bodies seem to miss the fact that these women actually exist and find it frustrating that they can't be shown without it being somehow oppressive to all other women. In truth, it really seems rooted in jealousy, and a desire to have media portrayals look like yourself.
