I don't hate this idea. We need a good Spider-Man game, last one was Shattered Dimension

Commercial potential wise SPiderman >>>>> Infamous.

Infamous is cool but we've had 3 quality entries now and series hasn't really gone anywhere. Want them to tackle something new and although I'd prefer a new IP, Spiderman would be pretty cool aswell.

Hopefully anything but a superhero game..... Would be taking away from a potential new IP a Sony studio could of been working on.

Yeah. Since it seems that the game is being developed by a Sony 1st party studio, I think it's exclusive.

You never know though. Games based on Sony Pictures' franchises have generally been multiplatform like Spiderman, Ghost Rider, James Bond, Black Hawk Down, Men in Black, Terminator 2, xXx, S.W.A.T., Jumanji, Ghostbusters, etc.

But then again those games weren't developed in-house.

Sucker Punch: New IP > The Getaway > Spiderman > Infamous (imo)

That'd be a total snooze fest. Guerilla made one last Killzone for PS4 and moved to new IP. 

Sucker punch hopefully made one last inFamous for PS4 and hopefully will move to new IP.

Yeah, it's not like the Infamous games haven't been high quality (I enjoyed the first one quite a lot) but I'd like to see something new from them as well.

I think my problem with Infamous has been with the somewhat shallow characters and story.

if they actually make a really good one i would be all for it, the last Spiderman game that i enjoyed was Spiderman 2 on the PS2.
