Forums - Microsoft Discussion - Windows 10 worse hasle installing an update ever!!.

Windows xp service pack 3 bricked my pc... Incompatible processor as it turned out later, causing continuous rebooting.

Reverting to windows 7 from windows 10 caused a lot of problems, had to do a factory reset twice before it got the update order right. (Windows 10 kept crashing the laptop) That was the big update, known problem with clean installs, yet not fixed.

My windows 8.1 laptop would not install updates for a couple of months after I refused windows 10. It claims it's working again now. There are about a hundred failed updates in the history, last one was this Januari so I think it has finally sorted itself out. Fingers crossed.

I leave my laptop always on now while closing all my programs at night to please windows update, otherwise it will reboot at the most inconvenient times or force close everything I left unfinished the night before.

I still turn my old xp machine on now and then and it still gets updates! Great support or wth is it doing.

Upgrading to Windows 10 has been a miserable experience. I'm very tempted to reinstall Windows 7, which never gave me this much trouble. Right now, I'm trying to find out why my monitor shuts down when I return from sleep mode or sometimes when I restart. I have to cut it on and off three or four times. Ugh.

I will never upgrade in the first year ever again, free or not.

I didn't know you can get Mario kart and super Mario bros on steam.

Took me an hour to get update 1511 today, what nonsense.

I've had no problems with windows 10 so far. Installation was easy, and have had few problems since.

Made a bet with LipeJJ and HylianYoshi that the XB1 will reach 30 million before Wii U reaches 15 million. Loser has to get avatar picked by winner for 6 months (or if I lose, either 6 months avatar control for both Lipe and Hylian, or my patrick avatar comes back forever).

I've had quite a few issues trying to install the November update a couple of months back. Like you said, Windows told me it was up to date when it fact it was not. So far since it has been working fine I think.

I have not had any issues with Windows 10 yet but then again I have the latest Skylake system ...

i think i will stay windows 7 forever
