Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Overlooked Wii games

There's plenty of those:

· Fragile Dreams: Farewell Ruins of the Moon. Now don't take me wrong, the controls of this game are beyond terrible at times. They either don't respond, or don't behave like they should. It would have definitively play miles better with a standard controller. This being said, this game is a brilliant apocaliptic tale, that actually moved me and made me sob at times. As a sucker for survival horror games, this one nail the atmosphere, the feeling of loneliness and has some really powerful sequences. I actually regret never beating this game, but I didn't own it so I could only play it under certain circumstances. Seriously, go play it, it's freaking amazing if you can endure the controls.

I found the game a lot more fun when I just started running past all battles. The only thing you lose is that bosses will take a little  bit longer to beat, but that's offset by the time you don't spend on random encounters and running back trying to replace broken weapons.

I wouldn't call it a great game, but one that people who enjoy anime or RPG story tropes in there survival horror would find charming.

I'd say Zack & Wiki: Quest for Barbaros' Treasure is a highly overlooked and excellent puzzle game!

WTF am I seeing

I am the only one that played OKAMI. Why hasn't anyone mentioned okami.

IT's one of the best acton adventure games ever and it still gets overlooked in a thread about overlooked wii games wtf.

I am begging anyone please play this game.

If you had to get my ranking for it I consider it in the top 2 best games I everplayed on any system, OOT wil be my first and only slightly edges it ( thats how good I consider okami)

The Wii has an amazing catalog.

Excitebots Trick Racing: Wacky and over the top racing. Such a blast to play.

Castlevania Judgement: Reminiscent of the Naruto Clash of Ninja series. Small roster of characters, but simple and accessible.

Naruto Shippuden - Clash Of Ninja Revolution 3. The best in the series as far as Western entries comes. Large roster of characters, tons of content, blast to play with friends.

No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle. Everything has been said already.

Arc Rise Fantasia: Fantastic (heh) old school JRPG. So damn overlooked.

Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles The Crystal Bearers: Zelda like sometimes, weak combat system but makes up for it with strategy and minigames. Characters, storyline, and soundtrack are NICE. Graphics are gorgeous.

Tales Of Symphonia Dawn Of The New World. Awesome and lengthy JRPG. Early stages Emil is a gem.

Trauma Center games. Everything has been said.

Sonic Riders Zero Gravity.

Cursed Mountain.

Pandora's Tower.

Fragile Dreams Farewells Ruins of the Moon. Warning... You may be emotionally touched.

Oh good call! Although I still think of it as a PS2 game. Still, it's overlooked on both PS2 and Wii. Truly a great action-adventure game.

Have you tried Okamiden?

Yeah its overlooked on both system but I find the wiimote makes the action faster when drawing, making the game much more fluid and enjoyable ( I think it also got rereleased on ps3 but again I can't imagine playing this game with dual analog). I never got around to it I don't think it was the same developer (clover/platinum) so I don't know if it retained any of its charm,is it any good?

I didn't mention it (or games like No More Heroes and Kirby's Epic Yarn) just because I didn't they qualified as overlooked. I thought it got a fair amount of attention when it released , but maybe people have forgotten about it now.

I like it a lot. It doesn't really expand the gameplay much from Okami, but if it ain't broke don't fix it

It fits very well on DS because the stylus functions as the Celestial Brush. However, I would recommend playing it on 3DS because of the analog nub. Moving with the d-pad on DS isn't ideal.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Smash-Up is a really fun game that doesn't get the respect it deserves. It only sold about 360,000 copies total for the Wii version and is sitting at a 69.31% on GameRankings. I think it's still valid to mention it as an overlooked Wii game because the PS2 version has less content.

Lifetime Sales Predictions

PS5: 115 million (was 105 million) Xbox Series S/X: 57 million (was 60 million, then 67 million)

PS4: 120 mil (was 100 then 130 million, then 122 million) Xbox One: 51 mil (was 50 then 55 mil)

3DS: 75.5 mil (was 73, then 77 million)
