Forums - Gaming Discussion - Metacritic breaks its own rules to let Western Reviewers defame Dead or Alive Xtreme 3

http://www.metacritic.com/game/playstation-4/star-ocean-integrity-and-faithlessness

So i made similiar threads like this before but this time i have hard proven facts how Metacrtic is an unfair and abussive system against Japanese games.

Dead or Alive Xtreme 3 didnt even come out in the US or any western country yet Metacritic allows Reviews which is against their own Rules. Games who arent released in the US yet or never will shouldnt be reviewed, thats how the common logic should be right? Metacritic is owned by Gamespot which located in the US thats why this rule aplies i think.

You can see for example that Star Ocean or any game not released in the US dont get a Review despite being avaible in Japan. Yet with DoAX3 its treated differentley? Why?

Now some of you will say: well thats because this game is translated into english thats why it applies for Reviews now on Metacritic.

Well look at Gundam Extreme VS Forces

http://www.metacritic.com/game/playstation-vita/mobile-suit-gundam-extreme-vs-force

http://www.play-asia.com/mobile-suit-gundam-extreme-vs-force-english/13/7097jl

this game is playable in English just like DoAX3 duoto having an Asian English Release. So where are the reviews for that game from Metacrtic?

And you can clearly see how the Reviewers for DoAX3 clearly have an agenda. Otherwise they wouldnt have reviewed this nieche game which hasnt gotten a western release in the first place.

While other western sites who maybe are more neutral or postive about these types of games dont really care because it hasnt released yet. Its clear that sites like Destructoird want to make a smear campaign against this game, why else did they put all this effort importing, playing and asking Metacritic to apply their review thats shouldnt be applied? And why does Gamespot/Metacrtic allow reviews for this game not avaible in the west?

Do you see my point now? how Metacritic doesnt have any trancsparcy in not only what kind of Reviewers are allowed, what countries these reviewers must come from but even what games released and where to be reviewed?

And just with my previous thread i have to point out the lack of Japanese and other Asian Reviewers to review Asian exclsuive games devoloped in Japan. Where are Famitsu and 4gamer.net?

Yet evryone thinks Metacrtic is a reliable source for japanese games?

The game is getting more exposure which can only impact its sales positively, so why do you complain?

i complain against the architecture of metacrtic

Man the controversy has propelled this niche series into one of the most talked about games of 2016. The most watched playthrough on youtube has 4 Million views, even more than Quantum Break.

If the game was good I'd import it too.

Calling a bad game bad is an "agenda"?

That was like reading a piece on how Kevin Bacon is behind the JFK assassination.

"Defame". Libel? If you are referring to defamation by publication in transient form then one of the main critiria is that the statement isn't true and that it is not simply an opinion i.e I think this game sucks. Therefore, no there is no defamation here.

Metacritic isn't a reliable source for anything, whether it's japanese games or martian games

Allowing people to review games is fair and just. Denying people the right to do so is not. Don't see how region is even a part of this equation.

Wait, people still think metacritic is a reliable source? Japanese games or no, Metacritics flaws with regards to the gaming industry are well documented by now.  People should know better.

You're talking here about metacritic's rules but it looks like you just made that rule up. That doesn't really strengthen your position.

If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.

Does anybody seriously consider Metacritic to be a reliable source, especially for japanese games?
