I think everybody saw this coming. PS NOW is like beta for this.

I'm saying consumer releases of consoles have to be faster.... Ppl are used to upgrading phones every two years

That couldn't be more false. Everytime I say there won't be a 9th generation, and that PS Now will replace PS4, something I've been saying for over a year, pretty much everyone acts like I'm spouting nonsence.

Sony has lost its way, sounds like they hired some Ex-Microsoft employees to float ideas for them.

They are making a huge huge mistake thinking they are going to head down the mobile road. The two businesses are not even remotely the same.

Sounds like Sony got ahead in the race and is throwing in the towel before they are even half done the generation.

Sell your SONY stock now people, it's about to slide off a cliff. I thought with psvr they would be climbing but they just killed it and the ps4 in one swoop.

Gameing needs a strong playstation brand, and a home console from them now and in the future.

There needs to be a PS5 eventually.

PS Now is that strong Playstation brand. By the time it replaces PS4, mark my words it will have thousands of games spanning from PS1-PS4, including PSP and PS Vita. The closest thing to a new home console you're gonna get from by that point is a streaming box for the two people who don't own a smart TV/NX/Xbox Windows Machine by that point.

Also, I'm gonna call it here right now. There if there is another NEO upgrade, it will come out in 2019 and it will be digital only in direct response to the titanic success of the NX. Then PS Now will replace PS4 in 2021, probably launching with a cheap PSTV again with no Vita innards this time.

But Sony will even the playing feild handily when PS Now eclipses the PS4. If you think the PS4 is a success, that's chump change compared to the gold they'll be swimming in once PS Now is out of it's not-a-beta beta that it's going to be in for the next 6 years. If they're smart, and they are, they'll sell controller phone cases bundled with the PSTV. The "dualshock mobile" for when you're streaming on your phone. 

I have the PSVR bundle on pre order. I was barely justifying the $499 cost because it was going to be the OPTIMAL console VR experience. Now I find out that I will get the second string console experience because I have no plans to upgrade to a PS4K. $499 for a lesser experience is too expensive for me.

If Nintendo knocks my socks off at E3 I will probably cancel the PSVR and pre order the NX.
