So in two days Pro Evolution Soccer comes out here in Europe. I listened tot IGN’s podcast and Matt said you people in the US should pick the game up, since it’s only 40 bucks. Wow, I thought, that’s pretty cheap, but just to make sure I looked up how much the game would cost over here and there it was: 60 €….what the?!
Ok now I get soccer isn’t very popular in the US and with a lower than usual price Konami want people to at least give the game a look. That’s the prominent reason I can think of to justify a price difference. That and we probably pay more taxes on games here in Europe, but 20 dollars/euro?
When we convert dollars to euros the difference is just insane: 40 USD (USD) = 25.624 EUR (EUR)
So that means, in theory, we have to pay more than double for a newly released game? That’s ridiculous. Why is that?! I had to get this out of my system….because when I read message boards American people do complain a lot (no pun intended) about game prices being to high. Well, they’re not, compared to our prices.
For me to import this game is not an option. I’ve never done that and I don’t trust online transactions.
