Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Emily Rogers made a new blog post about the NX's software output

And it's juicy.

Everyone knows Emily Rogers. She made a blog post. It's about NX software. It's, um, really bullish. (aggressively confident) More bullish than me.

Basically, what she claims is that the NX will have an insane output of software, one that will eclipse what the Wii U did in 3-4 years in only one. I personally think that's a load of hooplah. That's she's exadurating. But she specifically says she's not using hyperbole. The reasons here souces give her for this are as follows.

- The big fundamental focal point (and overall goal) behind NX is to vastly increase the software output from Nintendo’s first party teams and studios.

- To accomplish this, the entire process of how Nintendo develops and produces software has gone through radical changes.

- There is a new strategy that was put in place to create and release first party software at a faster rate.

- Multiple unannounced Wii U projects were moved over to NX.

- The NX could potentially see the highest output of first party software in the company’s history. (She's talking about the entire lifespan of NX. Not just one or two years.)

The most important part of those are the first three points. We already know about Nintendo's unification of divisions and the recent reoganization of their company, but if she's right, and I have no reason to doubt that she is with at least those first four points, there has been much more going on behind the scenes than I think many of us have taken into account.

In case you're an idiot and can't count, that's 39 games. She expects the NX to exclipse 39 Nintendo-published games in 12 months. Um.

I believe her but I think she's exaggerating a lot, even if she says she's not. What she's claiming is incredebly unrealistic. But, you know, it's fun to talk about. And dream.

Here's the full post: https://arcadegirl64.wordpress.com/?blogsub=confirming#subscribe-blog

Also, the games could all be shit because of how unceremoniously they're pumped out, so there's that to consider. RIP holiday 2015.

Unified library means more consistent releases, it's not rocket science. Plus they kinda gimped the Wii U's second half life cycle, so naturally the NX should have a faster start thanks to that.

Though I don't think Nintendo's problem really ever has been not having enough Nintendo games.

It's that they don't have games like COD, Battlefront, Madden NFL, FIFA, Need For Speed, Grand Theft Auto, etc. that is one of the issues why people do not care for their consoles. Or even if they do occassionally those games they're not seen as the go to platform for such games. Having more Mario and Zelda isn't going to change that.

Unified library does not equate to what she is talking about here. At all.

Someone help me put together a list of all Wii U first and second party games that came out since launch for reference.

Wow, this thing is leaking like crazy. Wii U didn't have nowhere near as many rumors 4 years ago.

That's actually a bit worrying if true as I don't think the problem was with Nintendo's first party stuff. They need to appeal to third parties more.

The speeding up development makes me wonder if they'll reduce quality or not.

I think their bigger problem is with third party, but their first party output was definitely an issue with Wii U.

But beating out the Wii U's output of software in only one year? Not even remotely realistic.

The Wii U's library isn't even that bad (by Nintendo standards), she's being hyperbolic

There's no Metroid or F-Zero, but virtually every other major Nintendo IP is represented and Splatoon is born as the biggest new character-based Nintendo IP since like the 1990s. Not to mention a new Pikmin and Star Fox and the addition of Bayonetta and the return of the Yoshi platformer and the first Toad game.

This is actually some what believable. That being said, a lot of her predictions are quite obvious guesses. I'm pretty sure she's an attention whore that lies a lot. She posts pictures of her self and gives out her name. I'm pretty sure Nintendo would have her sued 10 times over. Unless I am really missing something here, there's no reason to believe a word she says. Most of these "leaker claims" have more credibility than her in my books.

Yeah I'm becoming more dubious on internet posters, especially those without detailed claims or something really tangiable to hang their hat on. I predicted Paper Mario on Wii U, anyone could have guessed that.

Super Metal Dave IMO is legit because Nintendo forced him to take his videos down and he released a product release list from Nintendo that has had several things confirmed after the fact that would be impossible to guess like the Pokemon Sun/Moon codenames and Disney Art Academy.

You generally know something is legit if Nintendo moves to shut down that person.

Yeah Super Metal Dave seems to be pretty much the real deal. Don't his predictions come shortly before their announcements as well? A couple day's prior? This pretty much means he's getting his information by a mid-level employee. This is something that is actually pretty believable in my books.

"Multiple unannounced Wii U projects were moved over to NX."

I can see this happening! Animal Crossing X!!!!!! Launch title/year PLEASE!!!
