My current list would have to be something like this.
1: Radiant Dawn
2: Path of Radiance
3: Genealogy of the Holy War
4: Blazing Sword
5: Awakening
6: Thracia 776
7: Binding Blade
8: Sacred Stones
9: Shadow Dragon

Gonna be playing Fates soon.

Why is Sacred Stones so low for you? It's my second favorite just behind Radiant Dawn.

Didn't really stand out to me. Also way unbalanced with Seth. Not to say it's a bad game though. In fact one of the reasons I played Shadow Dragon was so I could say that SS wasn't my least favorite game.

I'm sorry but you could just put seth back and level up the other character, or just don't include him in the roster at the beginning. Lvling the archer girl was difficult at the beginning, but very rewarding in late game.

I remember ten years ago, I played maybe 100hrs+ on each GBA games, but I did not get into Path of Radiance/Radiant Dawn. Those two had also their overpowered character (Jill on her dragon afaik, in the first lvl ^^). Wasn't really keen on the 3D models and I prefered the portable format :D

It's either path of radiance or radiant dawn
Path is the most balanced game in the series, every side of it is good, Radiant does agood job early on but fails to maintain it till the end, but in terms of maps, strategies, offince & deffence no other can compare, I still go back to playing both every now and then
After that I will choose game advance trio, I think sacred stones much balanced, but all three give a good reason for the series to have a handheld experiance, it tastes differant
I finished fates just a weak ago, I have to give credit to this game as it stands its ground, the atmosphear and music is superb, it's also a great experience
There is still 2 games in the series that I didn't play from SNES days

How can you say Sacred stones is balanced if you have Seth???

I really like SS but you have Seth lol He has perfect availability , amazing class , amazing base stats ,really good grows , really good everything. The dificulty mode doens't even matter much because the enemies are really weak :/

It's really fun game but it's not balanced. It's still better than FE 6 lol but Fire emblem 7 it's way better in terms of balance.

I wasn,t talking bout fighting only, I meant gameplay as well as story, atmosphere, & the game as it stands

I haven't completed the FE games I've played, but if I had to choose from what I've played, Awakening, Blazing Sword, and PoR stand out to me the most. PoR has solid gameplay and a decent cast and it's pretty challenging. Blazing Sword is accessible with a solid 7 chapter tutorial with complex enhancements, provides a solid cast (love Lyn), and solid gameplay that builds upon its challenge as you get better. Awakening builds upon everything that was established from previous games (weapons triangle, marriage and children, support conversations, map system, etc.) with new elements such as Second Class, new art, etc. It also did one thing that made it so successful, be accessible to newbies who just want to play instead of worry too much about dying and resetting. While challenge is great, the series wouldn't be able to go anywhere if it weren't for being accessible in Awakening and Fates.

i hope to play more FE games, especially Fates and Geneology.

Seriously, why does Seth ruin the game? So I guess Jagen/Titania/Frederick/whoever ruins the game because you absolutely *must* use them?

Wait, what? If you think you absolutely *must* use the usual initially advanced character like Titania/Sothe/Frederick, then you're doing it wrong ^^. You have to use them from time to time yes, but you *must* use them as rarely as possible.

Not sure about Path of Radiance, but in Radiant Dawn Jill is really not overpowered at the beginning (maybe in easy mode, but not even sure).

This thread made me launch a 4th run of Radiant Dawn, and after a few hours in, it just confirms my choice: that game is really in another league or even genre compared to the Waifu simulator 101 that is Awakening.

That's exactly what i mean, my sarcasm didn't make the jump to text i guess. A unit can't break a Fire Emblem game since the only unit you have to use is the MC.
