WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH MICROSOFTS STORE??? YOU BUY A GAME -> YOU INSTALL THE GAME -> YOU PLAY THE GAME!!! There is nothing wrong with it, you an make it not easier!!!

Again I can't tell if you are being serious or not. If you aren't - I don't get the joke. If you are - then you are best to be avoided at all cost.

So i'm going to choose that option and ignore you from now on. You may have a stroke at this rate.

Now please tell us, what's wrong with Microsofts Store in your opinion? Please!!!

Steam is like the "People's Champion".
PC gamers love and adore Steam.

That is what Microsoft truly has to compete with... Shoddy console ports which doesn't support PC centric feature's isn't going to win over anyone.

It's ironic... Because even though Microsoft is porting more games over to the PC now than it ever has... It feels like they are supporting the PC less than they were a few years ago, because their locked-down games are not ending up on Steam probably due to some exclusivity deal Microsoft has...

To be fair, not bringing their own games to Steam and sell them through their own store is perfectly valid. That's what EA or Blizzard do and no one attacks them for that.

This! Microsoft sells their games through their own Windows Store, and everyone who is not happy about it should just stop buying their games and be happy! Now lets complain that Sony is not releasing their exclusive games on Nintendo consoles!!!

No one would be hating if they had done things right.

So Microsoft is doing something wrong with releasing their games on their own Windows Store? or Microsoft is doing something wrong because they don't want that someone can hack their game codes to make sure less peaple are pirating their games? Shut Up!

I was going to tell you that there is nothing wrong with MSoft having their own store, following by a list of what is wrong with their UWP platform that they are trying to force. Thankfully, tads (thanks!) already took care of that.

Oh, and take it as an advice, telling people to shut up not only doesn't work, but make you and your arguments look weak. For your own best, stop using it.

I'm serious! everyone is complaining about microsoft, but they still use their OS! If they don't like how Microsoft handles THEIR own OS and THEIR games, then they should just shut up and install Linux!

Have you read JEMC's input before telling him to shut up? Read the thread, dude.

Thanks, but it's clear that he doesn't care. He just saw someone saying something bad about MSoft and went for him, even if the complains are legit.

I kind of feel sorry for him.

Please excuse my bad English.

Currently gaming on a PC with an i5-4670k@stock (for now), 16Gb RAM 1600 MHz and a GTX 1070

Steam / Live / NNID : jonxiquet    Add me if you want, but I'm a single player gamer.

Yeah, Microsoft's plan for PC gaming is terrible. I'm pretty sure a vast majority of people would agree with that.

Though, it is weird...I was expecting certain users to be in here defending it...

Bet with Adamblaziken:

I bet that on launch the Nintendo Switch will have no built in in-game voice chat. He bets that it will. The winner gets six months of avatar control over the other user.

Actually I hope the devs and Steam will start to switch to Vulkan.

I think people are just constantly overreacting and are acting like children towards work in progress. MS has a platform that is new and they are ear opened to suggestions and how their platform could/should be better. Instead of just hating for the sake of hating, why not just say what you<d like them to improve in a polite manner? In the long run it's frustrating seeing anything associated with MS being run into dirt.

If you want mods on UWP just voice yourself to MS and Phil when so many of you are showing interest they'll find a way to implement it.

Also MS are always adding and updating stuff on their platforms, why should it be different now? It may not be perfect right now but in the long run it'll get better.

If you have to be told "hey mods are good" should they even be in the PC market? They have had many, many years to learn from their mistakes. They have perfect examples of what to do and not do already.

It actively feels like they went out of their way to be as un-user friendly as possible.

The way I see this is they have concerns about people being able to play in the games files and are trying to figure out how to allow this but prevent what concerns them. I don't think they are "just evil they want to prevent us gamers from having fun".

I'd agree -if it was the only thing they got wrong. They have actively gotten everything wrong. No crossfire/SLI. No overlays. No G-sync (and what ever the other one is called). Forced V-sync, borderless windowing.

Combine that with no refunds (at least I don't think they have a system in place like steam does), and that with no competition their prices are left unchecked - and you have a disaster.

Either they rushed out this store way too fast and didn't consider any of this stuff, or they actively chose not to include this stuff.

I think they needed to just release it and will improve from there.

Also UWP is not PC only. I would think some people have a point if it was only for PC but since it'll also be available for tablets, consoles etc I believe there may be more into these issues than just not allowing them. If you are a dev and develop for UWP there has to be some restrictions because a game on PC and a game on a tablet will be different... anyway I think they'll get around. Being overly angry and sprout hate all around is just being silly and a waste of energy.

This isn't about being "overly angry and spouting hate all around" it is about making it clear that what they are doing is wrong - and they need to fix it.

If people just sit around and twiddle their thumbs going "well one day it may get fixed" - then they have to rely on people fixing something(that they broke in the first place) with no motivation. If no one is telling them they are wrong, and if game sales don't show that people feel they re wrong - they won't think they are wrong. Thus all the videos about what is wrong with the store - to get the word out and to be heard.

You seem to take this as "they are attacking Microsoft, that makes them wrong" - and that isn't this.

If you go back to my original post you'll see that I never implied that people should just congratulate them and wait for never coming fixes. I said no need to just hate all around. You have concerns, voice them politely to MS and Phil this is how things get fixed/improved.

Also you're just assuming evilness saying thinks like: "that they broke in the first place", "with no motivation" etc. Other than making you "feel better" saying that they have no motivation to fix things is pointless and not a valid argument.

GFWL ruined my copy of GTA IV Complete Edition. It was hard as it is to run it on Windows 8 and then when I finally did with a lot of tweaking after a few months the game asked for a GFWL update and I did and after that the game never loaded :(

I had finished GTA IV and TLAD and was playing TBOGT, incidentally the one I was enjoying the most of the three, and then the game got corrupted. Now I want to play Quantum Break but the performance is horrible and optimisation poor even on high end PC's, and I only have a mid range PC.

What happened to the days of Motocross Madness 2, Halo CE and Halo 2 MS?
