I keep hearing more and more people say you can't discriminate against whites- since when? And where's the logic in that?

It's as though people think white people are some perfect group that never had any type of trouble in their life- every race, group, ethnicity, etc etc has been crapped on. Must we forget all the issues in Europe that occurred for hundreds of years(especially in WWII?).

Besides, the people who are disgustingly rude towards white people have horrible reasoning. Just because someone called you a nigger or any other immature insult/slur( the word nigger is horrific. Don't think I am saying it's not bad or anything), doesn't mean it's perfectly fine to just target white people altogether.

Of course whites can be discriminated against! Look at what's going on in Europe! White's some how need to feel sorry for everybody but themselves; but everyone else is free to do their own thing (white guilt). And many people from other races hate white's as well, but we never stand up to them. So I strongly disagree with the notion they can't be discriminated against, because they're just as much as any other race.

It doesn't take any imagination for someone to discriminate anyone for anything. Don't see how a white person could be unassailable from discrimination by virtue of his or her skin colour. That sort of plot armour just doesn't exist.

I think what you're referring to is the idea thar whites can't he victims of racism? The basis here is that racism is systematic racial discrimination and that's where the "ism" comes from. Generally speaking it's hard to Systematically discriminate against a majority population who are in power (in America) where white is the default and generally the preference. I think the closest thing would positive discrimination in employment, not sure how prevelant this is.

Anyway it's such a silly line of discussion and it applies very selective understanding of the word "ism" which also just means belief. I don't think you're likely to stumble across the argument in real life, most people take the term racism on face value, discrimination on basis of race.

Of course you can discriminate against whites. A better question is are they offended when you do so. In general some issues like portraying a white guy as the evil bastard in movies is a non issue. Make the black guy a stereotype and chances are your film is considered racist. Shooting black zombies in Resi 5 was considered racist.

I suppose it depends on the country. In South Africa during Apartheid for example, discrimination against whites would probably get you in a lot of trouble.
