Forums - Nintendo Discussion - It's been almost 3 years and Wind Waker HD is still $50+ in the US

That's how nintendo handles most of their games, shouldn't surprise you.

I remember Link Between worlds came out in Nov 2013, I decided to grab it during Aug of 2014 and it was still full price. Nintendo don't really do low prices let alone massive sales (for all of us as in something for all of us before some excuse is thrown up).

Step right up come on in, feel the buzz in your veins, I'm like an chemical electrical right into your brain and I'm the one who killed the Radio, soon you'll all see

Yeah so ?? These are NINTENDO GAMES not 3rd party games. Their price never goes down. This is also a Zelda game too btw. Still worth its price

*prices from amazon*

Super Smash Bros. - $48.99 (launched 1.5 years ago)

Super Mario Maker - $47.00 (launched 6 months ago)

Yoshi's Woolly World - $46.22 (launched 5 months ago)

Zelda: The Wind Waker HD - $51.31 (launched 2.5 years ago)

There is zero excuse for this game to have come out 2.5 years ago and be pricier than almost any other first party Wii U game that's been out for that long.

bet: lost

ye ninty needs to drop prices of more of their games.

Nintendo doing the collectors a fav though.

They help keep the value of their games up so on the secondary market you can make more money to fund new games,

It sucks that many wii u games don't drop in value even if they're not selling well. Really hurts your wallet.

Nintendo games are timeless. Who cares about Halo 3 when there is Halo ODST, 4, 5, and soon to be 6. Who cares about Gears of war 1 when there is 2, 3, and soon to be 4? Same with Mass effect and every other games series that has been seqkilled. Nintendo makes every Zelda game unique in it's own right (unique art style, music, gameplay mechanics, story, etc). Each Zelda game, no matter how old, can be appreciated because of the art style differences alone between them all. That's what makes them worth the same price all these years later. Heck there are probably people willing to spend that money or more to buy a 64 cartridge of OoT still lol

I bought it used like new from Half.com almost 2 years ago for $28. It's weird that the price has crept up a bit since then. It's not like the game is out of print or hard to find.

That's insane. It's £18 in the UK (about $26)
