wow you're just like me, only issue I have is that I just can't do contacts due to the difficulty of trying to put them on along with having a case of nystagmus, it also means I can never have laser eye surgery which leaves me with hope of having my eyes replaced with artificial ones in the future. Without my glasses though I'm basically as blind as a bat.

I don't remember any numbers, but I do need glasses when I need to see farther away. Well, I guess I need them mainly on some lectures, but on most lectures, I can see even without glasses (albeit just barely). I'm recommended to wear glasses when driving but I don't feel like I strictly need them and I'm not really required to wear them either. And just for the record, I do wear my glasses quite often when driving, at least when it's longer distance.

About the poll: I'm pretty sure it's fairly common to not be able to see well far away. In fact, common enough to deserve its own option instead of being listed under 'other'. :P

The poll was made in a rush as the person needed me to fill out some paper work and a few vision things before they start my full appointment. So I apologize for that XD

Ah, I see. No problem, I was just thinking it might be an oversight or ignorance. Neither it is then. :)

Let's say that taking a shower is a very dangerous process.

It's notably got worse over the past few years. I remember wanting to do my driver's license without having to wear glasses - out of the question now.

About -1.75 for the left eye and -1.5 for the right one.

:o Going for the cyborg upgrades huh?

You betcha, I'm the kind that wouldn't mind at all, just as long as I get improved eyesight.

I enjoyed 20/20 vision until about 40, which is when everyone's vision starts to deteriorate. I'm long-sighted, so I know when it's time to get new glasses when the TV starts to look clearer through the glasses I was prescribed for reading.

On the plus side, long distance is like HD to me, and I'm usually the first to spot the number on an approaching bus.

Perfect, i can see long distance like an Eagle eye, but my right eye cries like a baby when i look at super bright white light.

Its really hillarious what people do to avoid wearing glasses Lenses, operations really?

Do you know that by the end of this decade a third of mankind will be nearsighted? And that doesnt include the other people who are farsighted. 90% of chinese schoolchildren are nearsighted and 40% of the US population needs glasses.

And the funny thing is the more you are educated the higher the risk, read this article. Its natural evolution of our species so embrace your inner nerd.

Im on the brink of being legally blind
