I believe the movie will underperform. It's still tracking behind Age of Ultron in the US by $19M. Probably $1.3B if it has good legs in the US now that it's international run is nearing it's end. My prediction is that it's going to make $80M WW over the week-end.

"This movie is almost certainly going to end up as the 10th highest grossing film of all time"

Let's find a way to turn that into underperforming.  Let's find a way to dismis this movie's immense successes.  Yup, makes perfect sense!

Guys keep in mind that you are dealing with some one with a clear anti Marvel bias. I hate see so many of you all banging your heads against the wall in a pointless endeavor.

I am well aware of that ones bias, still I like to call out nonsense, when I see it.

Well keep fighting the good fight Acevil.

How is this underperforming? Again it isn't called Avengers: Civil War, it is called Captain America: Civil War, or is it okay to call Batman v Superman super underperforming when it had key heavy hitters in the film, and Deadpool super overperforming, when it had only had deadpool as the heavy hitter?

More expensive than Ultron, which was deemed a failure, while grossing less.

Ultron was not deemed a failure by anyone who matters.  1.4 billion dollars, 7th highest grossing film of all time, positive reviews.  Nobody who actually understands fanbases and cinema and market trends genuinely thinks that Age of Ultron was a failure or even a disappointment.  It made exactly what it was expected to make - high numbers overseas, slightly lower numbers domestically, and still enough to be #7 of all time next to the first Avengers and Furious 7.  at the time it WAS #5, until Jurassic World and Star Wars came out.

Seriously, had Furious 7 not come out and blown everyone's minds, The #3 and #4 movies OF ALL TIME would have been avengers flicks.  Still, by the end of May, 4 of the top 12  grossing films of all time will be from the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

1 - Avatar
2 - Titanic
3 - Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens
4 - Jurassic World
5 - Marvel's The Avengers
6 - Furious 7
7 - Avengers: Age of Ultron
8 - Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part II
9 - Frozen
10 - Iron Man 3
11 - Minions
12 - Transformers: Dark of the Moon

I have no doubt it's gonna best Iron Man 3 nd Frozen to be #9 of all time.  OF ALL TIME, bro.  This is not a failure.  Stop saying it's a failure. IT's a foolish, biased rant based on bias and hatred and stupidity.  This movie is not a failure, Age of Ultron was not a failure.  By the end of this month, Marvel movies will be in the #5, #7, #9, and #11 spots of all time.  Deal with it, and get your head out of your ass.

If I could just fail as much in my life as Disney with Ultron and Civil War I would be a very wealthy human being^^

Age of Ultron isn't a very good movie in my opinion (a decent one) but just because The Avengers did so unbelievable good at box office doesn't mean that it's a failure if you don't reach that number again. The Avengers was just a positive breakout and not Age of Ultron a negative one (revenue wise)

These are still superhero movies which many older people and woman aren't interested in. Don't expect them to do $1.5+ billion on a regular basis. Well, maybe in a decade with inflation if people still care about these movies then...or in only a few years if the Chinese market will grow as much as the last years lol.

Out of curiousity what do you deem Batman V Superman which has the same budget in terms of production.

Disney deemed it a failure.
