Forums - Movies & TV - Standalone Batman film confirmed, will be directed by and star Ben Affleck

I support this decision. I just hope that if he is going to merge universes with Metropolis then he better get rid of the current Lex Luthor

It's going to be set in the same universe. However, I don't think Ben film will focus entirely on Gotham, like it should.

Also, the only people that can probably get rid of Eisenberg as Luthor would the WB execs in charge of the DCEU.

wow I though I was going to read of lot of negative comments, I am surprised

People may not have thought BvS was very good, but one of the things that has recieved forum-wide praise is Ben Affleck's Batman. He's also done some pretty good work in other movies as an actor, writer, and director.

I actually liked the way he played the batman. But most people I have spoke to who saw the movie say that they hated him. I though I was the only one who though he did a good job.

I wonder if they are going adapt a comic book storyline like under the red hood or make a completely new story. Also which villain they will use.

Bet with gooch_destroyer, he wins if FFX and FFX-2 will be at $40 each for the vita. I win if it dont

Best Batman to hit the big screen! Amazing writer and director as well. This is going to be a treat.

I watched Batman v Superman, the new Batman is so cooooool!!.

Great news! Ben Affleck was actually one of the, if not the, best Batman I have ever seen on the big screen, and I Think he will do that Movie justice, in the same way that Deadpool has gotten it´s proper Movie thanks to Ryan Reynolds commitment.

I really don't know if I can watch another Batman after Nolan trilogy with Christian Bale.

First time I readed like "Stallone Batman film confirmed" and I was like WTF? Kill me right now

Ben Afflect has already shown some pretty good skills as a director, so I think this can be good. I'm not very interested in another Batman movie though.
