You know how in Mega Man, most of the Robot Masters have "Man" at the end of their names? Has anyone else heard people mentioning the names of comic book superheroes and started imagining them as 8-bit Mega Man boss fights?

• Bat Man - Defeating this Robot Master gives Mega Man the Bat Arang, a boomerang weapon that can retrieve distant items.
• Spider Man - Fights by swinging across the screen, remaining high and out of easy reach. A real pain.
• Aqua Man - Defeating him grants Mega Man the Whale Tosser, which does exactly that.
• Iron Man - His Special Weapon is the Iron Suit, which gives Mega Man the ability to shoot energy blasts from his hands. It is entirely redundant.
• Ant Man - Use Spider Man's Special Weapon against this guy.

Is this a thing that other people have already beaten to death?

People have done a lot of this kind of thing, I'd imagine.

Now that you've mentioned it, it would be really cool to see a game (official or fanmade) that's Mega Man vs. Marvel/DC. I think I'd pay for that.
