Type-0 HD sales ratio was like ~85:15 for PS4 wasn't it.

Btw, the 30,000 limited editions for EU took longer to sell out because 1. the Uncovered Event ended at like 5AM 2. the EU store wasn't updated until 6 hours later yet it was still down most of the time due to overload of people trying to buy it. I was one of them.

FFXV's biggest hurdle is apathy towards the FF franchise. Though I think the recent FF fanservice has helped a great deal.

There are certainly some fans that have hung on from the SNES/PS1/PS2 days, but many haven't. Departures from the series' SNES/PS1/PS2 roots with each edition have had the series see declining sales. And as great as FFXV looks to FF fans that have hung in there, I think there are millions more lapsed FF who frankly don't give damn as of yet.

Then there are many others who probably don't realize you don't need to play a dozen other different FF games to get the hook of this one.

I was really blown away by the reveal and the different locations, the environment art was just fantastic. After playing the demo, the combat wasn't really all I thought it would be but I will still get it day 1.
It will be my first FF game....

I really hope that people give the game a chance and people like me try it out.
Would love to see it sell above 9M, 10 would be fantastic obviously but Zhuge knows his stuff...

Great read. 1.5M in Japan sounds about right. But it is not guaranteed to reach even that. In the west, however, there is a potential of a serious growth. FF X level of sales (8 millions LT) would be fantastic.

All depends on PS4 imo. With VR launching in October it might encourage a lot of people to pick up the console and FFXV. Japan and US will probably be down from previous FF unless US consumers become enamored with the open world. Europe, Asia and Latin America will be up imo.

I am personally Pessimistic and think about 6.5m Physical sales, with ~500k digital+ for first year. Making it just above MGS PP. It could leg out to 8m+ LTD and with stellar reviews 10m+ is possible.

I, personally, don't think the game will be good so 10M is a bit of a stretch.
