Forums - General Discussion - How to solve the Smoking problem??.

More than stopped, we should be warmed about the healthy issues that come with smoking. But, to be honest, we smokers really know about healthy issues. They're just bombarding us with info about that, and it's now just ridiculous. Hell, we know, we're not hurting other people, we're just hurting ourselves, and that's up to us to decide I think. Another problem is, how to stop smoking. I tried, and I managed to be almost 2 years without smoking. But, you know, parties, alcohol and being surrounded by smokers don't help.

Around the Network

-Ban cigarettes
-Put people who smoke in prison
-Death penalty for illegal smoke trade

You're welcome to try and wrestle this bong from my hand.

I think health issues are a good reason to stop smoking but if they don't want to quit because of that then they can keep doing it as long as they don't hurt others.

They're not really harming anyone but themselves. I'd almost say to ban smoking, so that people can finally see that tobacco shouldn't be anymore legal than cannabis, but that's not right. They both should be legal, for their own purposes.

Well, that's how I started, I can't deny it. Stupid young me.

Frankly, it's not up to the government to stop smoking or prevent people from smoking. It's up to the individual if they start smoking or if/when they quit. It's a matter of willpower and not government oversight. I smoked for 17 years and quit cold turkey. No cancer or health issues besides some weight gain.

There's much bigger problems out there like drugs, sexually transmitted diseases or teen pregnancy. I see more anti-smoking propaganda than I do about anything about AIDS or teen pregnancy.
