Forums - Nintendo Discussion - NeoGAF verfied user: NX CPU is noticeably better then PS4 and Xbox One CPU

http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showpost.php?p=200144552&postcount=786

This user leaked information about the Wii specs and other things so he is reliable.

"'ve stated before and since any specs were revealed this gen most would have shitty cpus this turned out to be true, so to be fair my own perspective is skewed.

amd 8350 stock >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> NX>>>>> X1 >> PS4>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Wii U. All 3 of big 3 manufacturers got this issue wrong, yet I know next gen 2 of them won't cause they tend to do a decent job. Nintendo isn't impressing anyone."

He posted some other things too but mostly how he is disappointed with all 3 and he wanted at least mid tier PC, but regardless of that this is good news!

It had better since it is coming out 3 years later...

X1 and the PS4 have the same CPU. However the X1's CPU runs at 1.75Ghz, the PS4's CPU runs at 1.6Ghz.

I'm one of those people who thinks the NX will be at least as powerful as the PS4, so this rumor sounds pretty good to me, if true.

bet: lost

I don't know if this info is true, but that's more or less what I expect. But hardware is not just CPU. I think XOne CPU is better than PS4 CPU, and still it struggles more with games.

I honestly hoped for a much better CPU .

I guess they have gone with a similar configuration than PS4/X1, but using the newer Puma cores instead of the Jaguar that power the other consoles.

Please excuse my bad English.

I believe that's due to the Xbox One having a weaker GPU than PS4.

I think so. I'm not precisely an hardware and specs expert, but that's what I read. If the NX CPU is faster than the One CPU, that's a start, but it's not all said and done. Also, I was wondering about the comments this guy made about consoles being weaker than high-end PCs (obviously). But would be "economic" enough to make a really powerful console? I think they should find a balance between "power" and "economic". More than 400/350$ would be shooting themselves in the foot.

There is a third factor when choosing a CPU: heat. The 8350 is a 125W chip, and you can't mount one of those on a tiny, console box without running into overheating problems.

Oh, and yes, the PS4 beats the X1 because it has a much better GPU.

I don't know nothing about anything, but I've heard that the PS4's cpu is poop.
