yeah,personally doesnt sound very interesting to me really. I'm a wee bit tired of his character in general. Hopefully the game actually turns out good though either way

Surprised they didn't go for Egyptian mythology, since it's so rich. But maybe the thinking is the Scandinavian setting would differentiate it more? Anyway, hoping for more details at E3!

I want to see this character travel the world and kill all the gods of all the mythologies. Indian, Egyptian, Norse. All them. 

He will turn the world into what it is today. A godless world. 

Why? you may ask.

Because he is angry.

Really fucking angry.

He lost his family and his allies turned on him.

Therefore all gods will die. Simple really :)

You can't have a character kill all gods and not have that character be Kratos.

I don't see the problem with it being Kratos. Some of you act like we're constantly getting a God Of War game when it's spread out. God Of War is Kratos's story and how his dealings with Ares turned into a whole other debacle. The writers may have found a way to connect the Greek and Norse worlds. Hell...Kratos may be the reason Ragnorak befalls the twilight of Asgard. Who knows...

We get many games with the same protagonist all the time. What's the problem here?! This is what Kratos does. He has a reason to hate the gods (in his world). If this were another character, then it would just simply be a reskin of Kratos. That wouldn't be original at all and we would hear the same complaints about it.

So the GOW4 scenario is

Kratos: Finally im going to....(and of GOW3)

Unknown Norse character: Nope, not yet, you have to go to Norse...

Kratos: Damm it Zeus.....

Zeus: Wait what?

Athena: Really?

Zeus:shut up B.. is your fault, our Gods race is in danger!!

Kratos: what? there is more Gods?!!!!

Zeus:Oh no.. oh no....

Kratos: Rage scream...aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa i wiil kill them all!!!!!!

Thankfully Kratos has a new weapon! This probably also means the combat system is revamped, I was really getting tired of the combat in GoW after so many games. Kratos himself looks much better with a beard (if that is indeed Kratos and not someone who resembles him). They've also probably taken note about the complaints on his personality...

and my god if the game is even half as colorful as on those concept art it's gonna be a fresh new start for the franchise

GoW3 already looked like a (lower res) current gen title 6 years ago so excited to see what new hardware has done.

I personally believe the series has to evolve, with a change of name included.

The game is called "God of War" because Kratos took the place of Ares on GoW 1.

If its going to be a whole different cast, whats the point of keeping the name?

I know, the brand is attached to it, but it wouldnt make any sense.

I agree that they have to give Kratos a rest, make a character with more personality around it, more charismatic and give him reasons to go against whatever Gods he wants to kill.

This time it wont be enough to be GGRRRRR IM ANGRYYYY GRRRR, i expect top notch story telling.

BTW, i LOVE the Gof of War series so im not hating Kratos in any way. Im a strong believer that franchises have to evolve and be killed when necessary. I dont support milking from anyone.

I like the Norse Mythology. Actually I like them so much that I'm not sure I will be OK with killing them
