The ps4 is going to be better!

Yes 7 25.93%

Noo 9 33.33%

Not even close! 11 40.74%

Total:27

Kinda where I am at, but for me it is going to Nintendo. The WiiU library does a good job of keepibg that old school magic alive and it is home to my all time favorite franchise (Legend of Zelda).

Right now I am just replaying all of the Canon Zelda games in preparation for Zelda HD (from the HD remakes all the way to the NES classics). I am going about it a LITTLE differently, but I can certainly relate. Having more fun playing Twilight Princess than I have in LONG time, so I can already tell I made the right decision. Looking forward to NX and hoping it can be a hit while still giving us that old magic we all know and love.

why not PS1?

A lot harder to collect for here in holland.

I do wanne re start final Fantasy 6. And keep playing suikoden 2!

Maybe also star ocean the first departure.

If money is an issue at all for you though, you should consider getting some of the slightly upgraded versions of the PS2 games which came a little later, Persona4 on the Vita or Disgaea Afternoon of Darkness from the PSP instead of their original PS2 games, not only will some of them be a whole lot cheaper than trying to find their PS2 versions but some have a whole lot of added content over the originals and play really well.

If you are going full on PS2 mode though I recommend picking up a set of component cables for it, I made the change over to using component rather than old composite a while ago and the clarity of the image is really noticable, I've just been torn between playing games on my PS2 slim via component or using my 60gb PS3 via HDMI for the PS2 games (well happy I own a launch model version of that system).

Fancy hearing me on an amateur podcast with friends gushing over one of my favourite games? https://youtu.be/1I7JfMMxhf8

That's cool but it's not just about the cost of getting some of the games, the PSP version of Disgaea has a whole other mode to the game where after completing the game you can go back over the story but after Etna accidentally kills Laharl during the intro scene and you play the game as her instead.

Also the ps3 has a lot of the PS2 games as HD remasters and for the most part they don't do anything bad to the games, they just sharpen them up and polish them slightly.

Ha, got myself a new (used) ps1 and played ff9 for the first time after watching as a kid how my siblings played this game, waiting for ff6 to be in my post today (or so I hope^^).

If you have a PS3 it can play all PS1 games and in addition you can use your PS3 to smooth the output although I would be wary of trying to go full screen unless the aspect ratio of FF9 is the same as your HDTV (assuming a 16:9 aspect ratio for your HDTV).

Still FF9 is one FF game I have not played.
