The association fallacy is off the roof!!

This is an interesting thread.

I scroll through all these replies and somehow, so many people know, without a shred of doubt, what happened.  They know this was discrimination because it was alleged.  The title of the article said so?  Never question the title of an article.  If you're told something online, never question, just assume it's true.

Also, to people who blame everything on "liberals" and "conservatives", do you know how fucking ignorant you look to those of us who don't give a rat's ass about your petty little black-and-white political profiles?  

The other interesting point is that, the article discusses 2 instances of possible discrimination, however, the OP somehow draws a 'rise in discrimination' conclusion from this (and the article doesn't note when the previous instance of discrimination occurred, either.  Nor does the OP provide that information.)

So the family asked about safety for their kids, the plane didnt meet those standards and, to avoid being sued for insufficient safety standards, they denied access and gave the family another flight on a plane that did have the safety thing. That's how I'm interpreting this whole thing.

The main thing is, if they were so horribly discriminated against, why did they give them another flight? Doesn't that solve everything?

To assume racism and biggotry so quickly feels more like projection than anything else...

Flying isn't a right and next time don't ask for 5point harnesses and start recording the flight crew.

It's strange people are that prejudiced that it take it out on random families.

Is it because they were muslim, or because of their official release? We're very quick to jump on the "iz it cauz i iz blak?" stance these days, especially in news sites such as the Independent, which has become so ridiculously biased and "left wing" in the last year or so, that it has now had to cease being a paper publication in the UK due people stopping reading it (myself included).

I really don't care. Sick of all that muslim, gay, black discussions. Really... all that "somethingfobia" is getting annoying.
