I'm sorry for my comments in the news section, which were total sarcasm ( although I can appreciate the reason I got nailed ), but especially for my comment in a forum post, which was fueled by the reaction I got in the news comment, as well as vodka, which was meant to be inflammatory. I'm putting this here because whatever. And thanks to the lenience of the mods as well. :) Love this place, and will treat the privilege of being a member here accordingly.

If Alison Rapp was Steven Rapp, no one would even be aware of the story. The whole "poor helpless/harassed female" angle is so tired... so... so tired.

I follow Allison on twitter and she seems like a very nice, open and caring person, but very naive at the same time.
What GG did to her is horrible, and they should be held accountable for their actions. Having that said, I know Nintendo released a statement about condoning harrasment, unfortunately we do not know (it seems not) whether or not they did anything to help Allison. If they didnot, it sends a terrible message for their employees, and I hope this was a wake up call for a very delicate situation.
Nintendo step-up oyour game!!!

 If you follow her on twitter just read the comments she was getting. I remember one screenshot, of one guy complaining to Nintendo, where she appeared next to a kid, complaining how was possible they would have a pedofile advocate close to children. Furthemore, they were posting addresses and phone number from her friends and family. People were harrasing her since she is very vocal on the things she believes. 

 She was fired for the nature of her second job, and seems she didnt complained at all, it looks like it was 100 justified. I do  not blame Nintendo on that one.

 But I believe since Nintendo is always being a very diverse and welcoming place for women, they should talk to the police or authorities to talk to her female and or any possible targets of harrastment, and see what possibilities they have to prevent this things from happening again.  

 Again, I said unfortuately we do not know whether or not they did something. I hope they did, but if not, I hope this is a wake up call for all the videogame industry.

Saying something would only fuel the fire. If everyone is doing the right thing all they need to do is not respond, and let it run its course until someone else does something that pisses them off and they move on.

18 as age of consent is ridiculous and retrograde.

Puberty is the biologic trigger for sexual activity desire, reproduction potential and libido development, and thus society rules should adapt to human biologic that precedes everything.

The moral conservative on this issues stems from archaic religions, patriarch and restriction of individual liberties that are the bane of our idiotic society.
