Forums - Gaming Discussion - Miitomo Hits No. 1 on U.S. App Store in Less than 24 Hours

Great to hear!

"Just for comparison Uncharted 4 was 20x bigger than Splatoon 2. This shows the huge difference between Sony's first-party games and Nintendo's first-party games."

Damn it's doing well worldwide!

There Are Many Paths to Gaming Heaven

It's a free app. I don't think you can expect Nintendo to earn money from this. Depends how many people want to pay for overexpensive clothing.

Nice! It's cool, and there are aspects I love about it. That being said, I definitely think there are ways it could be improved, but I'm sure they will be fixing it as time passes!

I bet the Wii U would sell more than 15M LTD by the end of 2015. He bet it would sell less. I lost.

Probably didn't take much to make so microtransactions should cover it. The main point of it though is to sell you on their real games through my nintendo.

Evene if only 1% of them buy the add-ons, its still alot.We know there has 1 million+ users in japan(maybe 2 million by this point), and the rest of the world is off to a good start, maybe as good as japan(maybe even better), so thats still alot.

And as Kimishima said, their objective with the mobile iniciative is to get people on board with my Nintendo, and so far they have been succesful with this.

My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.

Good news, if their next mobile app features one of their most popular ip's is going to be an even bigger success.

Unless they introduce amiibo for smartphones.

12/22/2016- Made a bet with Ganoncrotch that the first 6 months of 2017 will be worse than 2016. A poll will be made to determine the winner. Loser has to take a picture of them imitating their profile picture.

Such lengths you go to downplay Nintendo at every turn!

Did I say something wrong? Aren't people interested to know how the app is doing in other countries?
