It seems to me that fewer and fewer exclusives are seeing success and Sony's 1st party are getting a hammering critically. Between Drive Club, Killzone, Knack and Infamous SS, critical response was well down on the PS3 era.
If Uncharted 4 does not score well above 90% and also sell very well, should Sony shutter or cut loose: Naughty Dog, San Diego Studio, Sony Santa Monica, Sucker Punch, Bend, London Studio and just hold on to the cheapest and smallest studios to keep cost down?
They can then purchase exclusivity of games when they are nearly ready, this eliminates the risk of investing in failing projects. Similar to how Microsoft operates....
