1. just compare my first comment and your size of text as reply
2. This is the case allready with PS4 over PC where PC runs at 60fps. All what Sony does is making the PC option irrelevant as a current PS4 owner
3. I talked about options not decisions all along.
5. You can use a controller for MP but you will get your ass kicked by Mouse and Keyboard player.
6. Its relevant because this entire thread is about PC vs Console. You cant use one argument against console and then take a blind eye if the same argument implies to PC
7. Not really, Sony wont try to make money with Hardware but software. If you trade in your old PS4 you will be able to buy this new old for less than a decent graphics card on PC.
8. Yeah but your games arent stuck on the old model, you will be able to upgrade and your games will be upgraded along with it. Its not what we have now with all these remasters. Having this new model as an option will save money in the long run because you wouldnt need to buy any new PS4 remaster on PS5.
9. PS4 > PS4K > PS5 > PS5K
10. You still dont have build your own PlayStation this is the difference. The upgrade is just as much of an upgrade like from PS3 to PS4 you just buy a new console. But unlike buying an entire new console the games will be compatible, its the best of both world if you think about it.

1. Having a lot of text isn't called exaggerating. I just tried to support my claims with proper arguments. It tends to take up a bit of space when you try to make the arguments easier to understand.
2. 'Irrelevant' is an exaggeration unless you're only speaking for yourself and not in general. Other than that, yeah, that's exactly my point. The gap between PC and consoles is becoming narrower.
3. You chose your words poorly then, because that's not at all how I understood your original post. You never mentioned the words 'option', 'choice', or anything similar, and I didn't get the impression you meant anything like that implicitly either.
5. Ah, now I see. You have a point there.
6. No it's not. The argument you responded to was about price and simplicity. You responded with an argument about performance. It's relevant only in a greater scale. I deliberately chose to question your individual claims instead of questioning your whole preference for consoles. The only occassions where I have taken a stance on the whole PC vs. consoles thing in this discussion is when I've said it's subjective which one is better. I was responding to you personally, not (specifically to) this thread.
7. I'm pretty sure Sony isn't willing to take much losses on hardware after PS3. Some losses maybe, but not a lot. PS4K won't be cheap. And yes, you can trade in your old console, but then again, you can also sell your old PC components. And if you want to bring software into the discussion about price, you might want to consider the fact that PC games in general are significantly cheaper - especially if you're willing to wait. And then there's the fact that online gaming costs on consoles, whereas it's free on PC. Of course exact costs depend on your consuming habits. For example, you might want to buy a lot of games brand new and then trade them in, in which case consoles might have a price advantage for you. Or maybe you're not interested in online gaming, in which case you could skip the whole subscription thing. Or you could be a bit more patient and get games for ridiculously cheap prices in a normal weeked sale on Steam. It's your choice.
8. Maybe, maybe not. If you want the new model every time when it comes out, you'll end up paying a lot. And how far back is compatibility guaranteed? At the moment, not very far. Could change when we get official information though. Also, you never need to buy remasters anyway. Personally I have trouble even understanding why so many people are willing to pay so much for games they already own.
9. Yeah, and how far back is compatibility guaranteed? I'm not going to trust PS5 to be able to play PS4 games unless Sony guarantees it will be able to play them - in advance. I don't see it happening any time soon.
10. A lot of people have been talking specifically about not having to worry about upgrades with consoles. True, you still don't have to build your own Playstation, but that's a separate issue that less people have been vocal about. And obviously it's not the best of both worlds if people find it problematic. It has its advantages but it also has its disadvantages.
