I don't know where all this talk about limiting to one PS4 ove the other is coming from.
Sony isn't stupid. And an X86 architecture lends to exactly these kinda benefits. This is basically like allowing you run your games at medium and ultr settings just that you are doing it with different boxes.
And I made a thread or commented in one a while back when I was talking about the future of consoles. In that thread I said that stuff like this will happen. That the pS5 will just be a PS4 on steroids. I guess I was wrong and what we are getting is a PS4.5 first.
