I envisioned it as the processor and maybe other elements being on its own package that gets inserted into the NX console. The processor alone can't be, because it has to be soldered to the mainboard to work.

And if we're talking about the main body, calling it "processor" is an oversimplification and a wrong concept, as it would be the screen that would be ejectable, not the processor. Right?

In that setup, it would be like having a compact Wii U with a gamepad attached to it on the "go" and at home it would be detached with console part in docking and screen/controller (or gamepad) in user' hands. That would mean that the pluggable main body would be the NX itself and all the rest add-ons.

I'm not sure if Nintendo would go with that setup. But it seems that is what Soundwave is thinking.

In that setup, there wouldn't be detachable controllers but the main unit would be the one that would be removable, leaving you with the controls and a screen that wouldn't work, as the hardware to make it work would be docked to the TV.

I don't see this setup working.

Samsung to produce new GPUs for Nvidia by years end? Possibly NX related? Just seemed interesting.

I recall prior reports suggesting X1's follow up was going to use 16nm, whereas this one is saying 14nm. If its right, the chip might be more powerful than initially expected.

I don't know how reliable is that South Korean newspaper, Chosun Biz, but it's very surprising and shocking if true. Nvidia and Samsung aren't exactly friends after those patents lawsuits, so if Nvidia has decided to switch TSMC for Samsung, it must be for very good reasons.

If I were a TSMC investor, I would want to know what's going on.

That said, we don't know if this has anything to do with Nintendo and the NX.

Someone aiming to feed one bit of information a day from their sources until the reveal, they're not posting on anything else other than twitter as they don't want mass attention and people/sites bandwagoning on their claims.

Their claims are interesting in that they're plausible but aren't saying what the other rumours are yet do match some of the patents and circumstantial information, it's worth noting Ruby mentioned bundles a week or two before the recent retail rumour.
