Here is an old one.
"Nintendo in March announced its plan of releasing Nintendo NX in 2016 and has started visiting its supply chain partners recently. The orders are expected to be finalized in February or March 2016 and mass production will start in May or June 2016, while the console's official launch may take place around July, the sources said."

These two bits were one a mostly confirmed rumor, and the other some hard info:

AMD could power yet another gaming device – chief financial officer

http://www.kitguru.net/desktop-pc/anton-shilov/amd-could-power-yet-another-gaming-device-chief-financial-officer/

December 10th, 2014

An accelerated processing unit from Advanced Micro Devices could power yet another gaming device, chief financial officer of the company implied this week. The high-ranking executive did not provide any details, but given the revenue opportunities the company outlined with the deal several weeks ago, we are talking about a high-volume device.

AMD announced two new semi-custom design wins back in October. The design wins are expected to bring the company combined total lifetime revenue of approximately $1 billion over approximately three years starting 2016. Previously the company revealed that both semi-custom chips would integrate Radeon graphics, one would be based on ARM architecture, whereas another one would feature x86 general-purpose cores. Apparently, one of the semi-custom APUs is projected to power a “beyond gaming device”, which means that another will power a device that could fit into the “gaming” category, something AMD denied previously.

I think that a device that goes "beyond gaming" is something that fits nicely with Nintendo. And it also points to a 2016 release.

Macronix Will Be Providing Memory Products for the NX-Reiterates that the platform will be launching this year

http://www.nintendolife.com/news/2016/01/macronix_will_be_providing_memory_products_for_the_nx

January 29, 2016

Macronix is an international tech company that primarily focuses on 'Non-Volatile Memory' such as ROM and Flash. Evidently, the company has a history with Nintendo's portable line of products, having produced memory hardware for DS and 3DS game cartridges. At a recent quarterly results conference call, CY Lu – the company's president – announced that the company will be providing products to the NX and that the console will be launching this year. Here's a translation of the information, courtesy of a NeoGAF member:

Prestigious Japanese videogame console maker Nintendo will launch a new console called NX this year. General Manager of Macronix, CY Lu, said Macronix will provide products for NX and that Macronix has considerable expectations to NX.

In the afternoon, Macronix had held an online conference for investors. As Nintendo is going to launch new console NX this year, investors concern about if Macronix, which have a long-term cooperative relationship with Nintendo, is still part of NX's supply chain.

CY Lu said Macronix will supply memory slots for NX, and that the company has considerable expectation to NX.

Even though CY Lu declined to comment whether the supplied products are ROM, he said he expects ROM sales this year will be exceptional.

This pretty much confirms a 2016 release (for those who still doubt it). What this does not confirm or deny is if NX will have an optical drive or use cards, as Macronix does the DS/3DS cards but also provides the flash memory of Wii U.

added both.  those are both pretty convicing, but they don't really provide too much info... Thanks!

That's because those aren't rumors or leaks, just industry reports of what's going on.

Please excuse my bad English.

Currently gaming on a PC with an i5-4670k@stock (for now), 16Gb RAM 1600 MHz and a GTX 1070

Steam / Live / NNID : jonxiquet    Add me if you want, but I'm a single player gamer.

This guy is trying to get verified(even if he does get verified though I wont be making a thread since the last one was basically pointless):

"I'm a Game Developer working in a mid-sized Dev Team working on an PC indie game port in Europe.
I am willing to provide confirmation / specific details to mods.
There has been a lot of false leaks regarding NX, all i can confirm at this point is that it's not a handheld. It is a console and it will be announced late April and will be released around Holiday 2016.
At least 1 Nintendo Game launching this year will use Unreal Engine 4, our game is also using the Unreal Engine 4 engine.
If you want confirmation regarding UE4, research some of the upcoming games Nintendo Projects on linkedin, lot of Nintendo game devs have listed UE4 for unannounced upcoming games (Wii U and 3DS don't have any UE4 projects being developed by Nintendo studies at the moment).
There is a genuine dev on Reddit who can't give you the name of the console at this moment and more specific details, our team can (which is less known and has less known games).
The final and last thing i can say is that the power leaks from SuperMetalDave are true, is using ARM Architecture and a is Console more powerful than the XBO/PS4.
Don't worry too much, and one last secret: The name is 'Nintendo Extra'
To the mods: Please contact me through my email address if you want further/more specific details.
Update 1:
I haven't received a message from the mods, but in the meanwhile: to clear one thing up, some genuine leakers have said ARM, some have said x86, the NX is using both but one for the home console and one for the upcoming handheld. In essence, the ARM architecture is a small piece of the overall NX home console and specifically done to port handheld games to the Home console, not the other way around. Devs are not forced to create games for it.
Name: NEX (Nintendo Extra) Platform: Home console
NEX CPU is about 30% more powerful than XBO/PS4 NEX GPU is 50% more than powerful XBO/PS4, also more RAM.
The leaks about the 2 different controllers are indeed true. In general, this is a very good console and a new time for Nintendo to gain back support of third-party devs and core gamers in general.
Update 2: In contact with a Reddit mod for verification in the next 24 hours."

That matches the rumour in this the linked thread below from GAF, in regards to the CPU. NEX also sounds like a plausible name and is certainly marketable.

My biggest problem with that leak is the use of an x86 and an ARM processor together, and for one simple reason: cost.

I know that Wii U already had an ARM co-processor that took care of OS/security, but including a fully fledged ARM processor just to play handheld games on it seems like a very costly measure that could be solved by making the x86 processor emulate the ARM one.

Just think about it, the ARM processor could cost something like $25 that would increase the final retail price by more than that. Is it really worth it having an x86 processor on top of a shared OS that could take care of that task without adding extra costs?

Did you read the rumour because he said they not for the same hardware, what he's saying is that ARM is for the portable and x86 is for the console.

That's not what it says:

Basically NX handheld has an ARM processor while the NX home console have an x86 processor for its own games but also an ARM one to play the handheld games.

Basically NX handheld has an ARM processor while the NX home console have an x86 processor for its own games but also an ARM one to play the handheld games.

Then it's worth the addition as it gives the console a unified library.
