I only have regrets in terms of buying game systems.

The Wii played it round my mates, thought "this is fucking amazong i have to have one" i had fun on Wii Sports and Red Steel though Red Steel made me tired, and when i got my new HD tv at the time it just looked rubbish compared to my Xbox 36 & PS3.

The second was my PS VITA, sure i loved Persona 4 the golden and Uncharted & Gravity Rush were good Triple A's, but i need more than just aload of indies.

So do u regret buying a games system?

Here, let me help you with your vita choices since all YOU see is indies: Freedom Wars, Soul Sacrifice, Killzone Mercenary, Earth Defense Force, Atelier series, Dynasty Warriors Next, etc, etc. Coming soon God Eater Resurrection and God Eater Rage Burst 2. Hope that helps your oh so limited "indies" options.

OT: I regret jumping early to buy the Gameboy Advance with its shitty lack of screen light. Later on I got an the superior SP.

Make games, not war (that goes for ridiculous fanboys)

I may be the next Maelstorm or not, you be the judge http://videogamesgrow.blogspot.com/  hopefully I can be more of an asset than a fanboy to VGC hehe.

I regret getting this master gear convertor think for the Game gear. I never bought a single master system game for it. lol

Converter for Game Gear?  I know of the Sega Nomad which was a standalone system that played Genesis games.

And the Power Base Converter (or Mega Adaptor in Japan, Master System Converter for Europe) for the Genesis that allowed you to play Master System games.

But I never heard of a Sega Master system to Game Gear converter.  I assume you meant the converter for the Genesis.

Yeah SEGA really fucked up in the late 90's relasing Sega/Mega CD and 32x and Saturn too many mistakes.

Wii for sure. My second Vita as well (rebought after selling the first).

4 ≈ One

I regret buying a PS3 way too early. I mostly used it for playing PS2 games, and most of the PS3 games kind of disappointed me back then. My PS3 died when it was starting to pick up, so I had to buy a new one.

you're not the sharpest tool in the shed if you purchased a GBA and assumed it be backlit or whatever in 2003, considering EVERY single Gameboy iteration before had been the exact same.

seems like a common trend here is people buying things with literally NO research or investigation. you're basically guranteeing yourself disappointment if you purchase things without knowing what you're getting in advance. its not a pair of pants, these are hundreds of $$$ systems and its up to you to do your fair diligence in advance

Yeah. Silly me for assuming I would be able to, ya know, see the screen. I must be pretty stoopid. And it came out in 2001. I bought it on launch day. I took the knowledge I had on the system, gathered mostly from magazines, and bought it. There wasn't nearly the amount of easily obtainable information in 2001 as there is now. Get off your high horse.

The GBA screen is the same as the GBC screen. And better than the GB screen. I don't get how you had problems seeing it. If you've used the original GB, Pocket, or color, before it. All the sytems had the same amount of glare problems, when using it in the sun. And the same limited angle. Were it worked under a light bulb. Even the worm lights bounced the same way on GBC and GBA.

The GBA was in fact, my first Nintendo portable. I never felt the others were worth it, even though I was a Nintendo fan. The portable I played the most prior the my GBA purchase was the Sega Game Gear, which I rented for 3 days in 1992. Very limited portable experience until the DS rolled out. It was truely the first portable I genuinly liked/loved, but I imagine the GBA SP could have fit that bill had I tried it. Basically, I've owned a DS, DS Lite, and Vita and think they were/are great.

Sometimes I regret my 360 purchase just because went through 2 red rings and a lot of hassle. Fine system, but will take that a console will function for granted again.

Hehe, in Norway you are protected by consumer law, so if a console (or any electronic device supposed to last for a while) breaks within 5 years (yeah, 5 years), you are entitled to a replacement, as long as the device didn't break due to unproper usage.

It doesn't fix the problem per se, it's still annoying if your console breaks on you, but it's nice to not have to rely on companies' warranties, as they can be sketchy.

The PS4 just like a week before the PS4.5 rumor came out. I really have bad luck.

The PS3 (kinda). Some of the games I bought it for ended up being disappointing, for example Tales of Xillia/2. Tales of Graces f would have also been disappointing if it wasn't for the great combat system.

On the positive side I'll be able to play the FFXV new demo right now lol
