Forums - Movies & TV - Who is the best Batman?

Affleck imo is both best Batman and best Bruce Wayne. Aside from a few hiccups in the way the character was written, he was everything I imagine Bruce Wayne/Batman. Muscular, intimidating, serious, handsome...

Because it's meant to be a vision of an hypothetic apocalyptic futur with a world ruled by Superman, soldier of Darkseid, after the death of someone he loves ( and Superman becoming evil after the death of someone important is something we already saw few times  in comics or animated movie/serie), explaining the extreme measures batman takes in this dream vision which is not reality, the point of this sequence is only to make him even more determined in his mission and also to give him the information of what could cause Superman to change so much.( which is confirmed by Flash few seconds after)

So it fits perfectly the movie, the only question you could ask is how did he get this vision ? And this is where you can make theory like maybe the time travelling of Flash caused him this vision  of an alternate futur.

Time travel and dreaming are two different things.

He didnt time travel himself, flash did, but he got a dream-vision of an alternate futur if something happens to the woman Superman loves.

So alternate futur =/= not the reality of the movie.

Predictions for end of 2014 HW sales:

 PS4: 17m   XB1: 10m    WiiU: 10m   Vita: 10m

The Batfleck.

Kevin Conroy, without a doubt. Hopefully I get to see Batfleck in the suicide squad a bit, I really look forward to see how he does the role.

Kevin Conroy without a doubt, he just nails Batman in general along with Mark Hamill for Joker.

And that's enough to call script shoddy ? Seriously ?

It wouldnt be the first dark version of Batman, nothing schoking compared to some comics, so it's factually wrong to say it's not the character at all because you dont like this version of Batman, there are several versions of Batman, he changes, evolves, makes mistakes depending on his experiences, just like the Bale version, there would be a lot to tell about the Batman in the last Nolan movie.

Yes I would say not understanding one of your lead characters is "shoddy" scriptwriting. Honestly it gets a lot wrong about Superman too.

This isn't the first "dark" version of Batman, lol, Hollywood has been doing dark Batman since 1989 and profiting handsomely off it.

This is the first psychotic mass murdering, gun totting Batman though. I don't see that as neccessarily true to the character at all though.

In this movie if Clark's mother was named anything but Martha, he wouldn't been blugdeoned to death with a freaking dirty bathroom sink by Batman, lol. Even in the Dark Knight Returns comic, Batman is never that much of a murdering nut job (he fights Superman but uses a low does of Kyrptonite to teach Superman a lesson to stay out of his way, but never intends to murder him).

If this is the "best" Batman, then IMO a lot of people don't understand this character at all.

Actually, in the original comics, Batman uses guns all the time. People seem to either have a selective memory, or they just like to complain about things that they have little knowledge of.

In more recent comics, Batman drops Lois Lane from a building as a gamble to regain Superman's senses. If his gamble did not pay off, Lois would be meshed in with the pavement. Batman has always teetered on the edge of madness. That is a crucial part of his character. Hence why the Joker is always trying to push him all the way over.

Also, Michael Keaton's Batman attaches bombs to random goons, and he smiles when the explode into nothing but ashes. Again, something people seem to collectively forget so they can make a criticism based on false claims.

Here are seven different occasions in which Batman uses guns. This article was made in 2014, so it was before all these false claims were made surrounding Batman v Superman.
