No. Most people don't know anything about it. Among those that have seen the fake, it will mostly be forgotten about by the time the Nii X releases.

Back in 2013 even after the PS4 was announced there were rumors stating the PS4 would also block used games and require a internet connection, I remember tons of people said that they won't ever buy a PS4 if the rumors are true (Like how many people said they won't buy the NX if the controller turns out to be legit or is the main controller and doesn't come with a button controller)

When Sony announced the PS4 would play used games and wouldn't require a internet connection people cheered in the audience during there E3 2013 conference :/

The rumorwas what EA was demanding  console manufacturers to put these measures in.  Sony did the smart thing and waited for Microsoft to see the reaction (i.e see if they die by the sword, which they did) and quickly released that video of handing over a game to a friend the next day lol.

Yeah but there was no indication that Sony was ever going to make the PS4 always online no used games like the Xbox One was, Microsoft just handed them this generation by doing that.

Haha they should make a PS3 boomerang prototype than. And than just a few months before launch reveal the actual regular controller, the internet will go nuts.
