I just got home from watching it and I thought it was great!! I expected to be annoyed by the Lex character but I found him to be rather fun, in the mad man kind of way!  Also, someone at the movies, who reads the comic books, said it was spot on. I'll have to take his word for it cause I have no clue.

Imho Jesse was fantastic. He wasn't really Lex,  he was more or less his own character. This may factored into disappointment for a lot of people. With that in mind, his performance from an acting perspective was debatably the best in the movie. He was crazy. For those who say he's "miscast", perhaps we should wait for the sequel. This was kind of... more or less an origins story for him.

I totally agree that Jess' performance is arguably the best in the movie.

But Lex Luthor is supposed to be a person who is charismatic and genius. The Lex in the movie is like a mad scientist or a lunatic. Maybe the change is for the better though, who knows.

Hopefully the pacing of the sequel will improve.

Depends on which version of Luthor. Luthor is a mad scientist at the origin.

I think Vin Diesel would make a great Lex Luthor.

Please Watch/Share this video so it gets shown in Hollywood.

The fight scenes were good at the end, but the olot was all over the place. I had to struggle to stay awake because it took soooo long to get good.

It was a disappointment for me, period.

425 million WW in a few days looks like the audience for most part didn't care about RT and co, I picture epic music must be playing throughout the studio right now.

Someone when they get the chance should do a gif of the start of the trinity battle with Doomsday as RT, Batman in the Batwing as BVS, Wonder Woman as the audience and Superman as the ticket sales.

Superman 1 and 2 are still the go-to when it comes to Superman movies... which is pretty sad. Not that they're bad movies, but that it's been three decades since we have had a great Superman movie.

It's legitimately sounding more and more like the Director's Cut is going to be MUCH better from a critical standpoint. Apparently Zack Snyder has said the current version of the film came at the eleventh hour, and the Director's Cut adds 37 minutes. If those minutes are allotted to scenes that were -according to viewers - randomly cut short or moved around from where they clearly made sense, this film could actually be great but ruined by the studio at the last second because they were afraid of a long runtime for some reason.

I'm gonna put off until that version just to get the definitive version off the bat.

You should check out my YouTube channel, The Golden Bolt!  I review all types of video games, both classic and modern, and I also give short flyover reviews of the free games each month on PlayStation Plus to tell you if they're worth downloading.  After all, the games may be free, but your time is valuable!

I think its one of those movies that in a few days, months, years peoples opinions will change. More of a middle of the road superhero flick. Man of steel was a better film. 6.5-6.7

EVERY GAMERS WORST NIGHTMARE...THE TANGLING CABLES MONSTER!

       Coffee is for closers!

It looked cool, but story was a bloated piece of work with some really lazy writing...

For example:

Lex Luthor hates superman. Why?...Because reasons of course. Anyone that can logically explain why...I'd love to hear it

Batman hates superman and wants to kill him. Why? Because he a sociopath and is apparently secretly manipulated by Lex

Batman has a workout montage before he goes out to fight Superman. Yep. This actually happens...

Batman spends most of the movie wanting to kill superman and then he stops at the point hes finally able to do so. Why?...cause they both have a mother of same name. Pfft...makes sense.

Lois Lane takes an important object and throws it down some deep well. Why you ask? Because there has to be an important scene later of her drowning that draws Superman away form the action.

Lex makes Doomsday by putting his blood in Zod’s corpse inside the Kryptonian ship which is just sitting around and is apparently still “37% functional". NSA and NASA apparently wants nothing to do with this ship...

The story has some issues although that may be due to the content cut from the theatre release like this scene.

1 - It's more a mental obssession with the Meta beings, Clark wasn't the only one Lex was after as seen with his tracking of Wonder Woman, Cyborg, Aquaman and the new wielder of the Flash force.

2- This is practically explained at the beginning, his dislike of him came from the collateral damage of the Zod fight where Batman not only became aware of his existence but sees him as a big threat to everyone on the planet after the Kryptonians tried to cleanse the Earth and the was nothing anyone could do not to mention a number of his friends and employees died during that event. Lex just added a bit more fuel to the fire.

3- This is more up to the viewers interpretation tbh.

4- She threw it because she didn't want it to be used against Clark in future, she and everyone else had no idea at that point that Doomsday was going to show up.

5- The ship only became operational because Lex accidently activated it, he needed government clearance to even go near it which he got by pulling strings.
