Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Images of the NX Controller Surfaces!

I'm okay with it, but I do wish it handled better than the Wii U gamepad.

Look at the laptop's keyboard in the OP, it's from a Swedish or Finnish developer. Swedish/Finnish keyboard:

It is an Apple keyboard (cmd). The reddit username is perkele37 so it sounds as if it is from Finland.

If there are no buttons haptic feedback MUST work flawlessly! They also need to market the shit out of that so people don't think its just a touch screen, most people don't know what haptic feedback is.

The lack of grips could just be down to it being a prototype but even then its makes hardly any sense that they wouldn't add it for the benefit of the developers. Anyway it really does beg the question of whether this is also the handheld. A grip attachment could come with it for console use.

Hopefully they reveal the system before E3

Game Informer's EIC is saying these leaked images confirm what he has heard -- no face buttons on NX controller.

Does this count as confirmation? that the pictures are real?

It's the console's controller, not the handheld https://www.reddit.com/r/NintendoNX/comments/4bn6nm/nx_controller_pictures/d1apar3

Aww man... that was my last hope for it to be the handheld so that maybe, for the console, we could get a more comfortable controller with ACTUAL buttons and analog triggers.

Like I said before though it looks really sleek and it's an overall nice-looking piece of tech, so I'm pretty excited about it. And who knows, if Nintendo handles it correctly it might just as well end up being the best thing ever. We will just have to wait and see how it all pans out.

I really don't see functionally how this is any different from the existing Wii U GamePad ... except it doesn't have buttons. There's nothing gameplay wise you can do that a Wii U Game Pad couldn't do ... I just don't see the point of doubling down on an already failed idea. Yeah it looks "sleeker" ... but so what?

Very cool, very real.

I wonder who that controller is aimed for. Certainly doesn't make NX any enticing for me.

How long are we gonna be able to handle that thing before it hurts ?

Where are the fucking buttons!?
