Forums - Politics Discussion - Corruption is Legal in America

Does Turkey pretend or come as being free of corruption, like the US does if they are talking about other countries corruption problems in various American sources (Media, Thinktanks, Embassy conferences)? Thats the difference between the two.

The American media attack money in politics pretty much constantly. Granted, for them, it's only bad when the "other side" takes money (ie, the Conservative media attacks Soros/Buffet, the Liberal media attack the Kochs/Adelson).

Think tanks, depends on the one, doesn't it? Mises Institute, Ron Paul Institue, Cato, Center for Public Integrity, Heritage, and others, will actively speak out against corruption within the US.

That's laughable, sadly. Where did you get that list?

HK is one the most corrupt places I've ever seen. The entire city is basically owned by a handful of elites. And I mean owned in the literal sense.

Nobody beats us though.

Here is the son of the biggest state builder in the country, personal friend of our ex president.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Corruption_Perceptions_Index  You don't thave to tell me about Hong Kong and ofcourse corruption is mostly hidden and hard to track.

The more money and freedom, the more corruption. Thankfully the connection people have with social media is bringing up people's BS a lot quicker now.

Ask stefl1504 for a sig, even if you don't need one.

Even in Alaska?

Specially in Alaska, that's where evil comes from. A rebel penguin came to our country and ruled it for 4 years. Then her wife ruled it for another 8! it was horrible.

You should change the OP title. The name of the country you are referring is United States of America.America is the name of the continent and will confuse users about the topic, like confused me, in which I thought it was about corruption in the whole continent.

My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.

What America? North America? Central America? South America? United States of America? Bahamas? Patagonia? Canada? Bolivia? Panama? ...

and its compulsory in Turkey.

It's the same in Belgium. The oligarchy needs to give the illusion that your vote matters.

In the wilderness we go alone with our new knowledge and strength.

From my limited knowledge, Switzerland is the only country in the world (at least that I know of out of the rich ones) that has semi-direct democracy (and direct in two cantons), so passing laws that people actually support and want is actually possible....guess more countries should adopt that system.

As for corruption, where there's a living human, there's potential for it.
