Shokugeki no Subaru

Nice chapter for the Mimic Man. His new ability seemed OP...but I guess it has limitations. He'll probably lose...even though his ability is perfect for this type of competition.

They're talking up the Elite 10 as not needing assistance, since that would only ruin their individual abilities...but I'm pretty sure that will their undoing. Sorta obvious though.

That last part with all the Elite 10 was amazing. Pretty sure that was Erina he was mimicking in the last one...hee hee.

My Hero Tokademia

Damn...things just got really bad. Nighteye might be okay...he hasn't had a serious fight yet, but Toka's power seems way too unknown, and she's so fast. Deadlock is already down, and now Eraserhead is wounded. Deku better do something fast.

And apparently it's Oda's time of the month. *wind blows*

A free spin-off about Sakurako and her sisters (and their friends).  The chapters are short but it's funny.

Well I'm reading this quicker than expected, almost finished the first volume in less than a day, was expecting it to take me 3-4 days minimum considering how much time I actually get to read these days lol, so I've ordered the next two volumes, which will be arriving hopefully before next weekend. Think I'll start a system where I buy two volumes a week until I finish, then I'll move onto something else.

Seriously, Tokyo Ghoul is SO GOOD, I'm glad I decided to get into it, can't wait for my next volumes to come! :P

Yeah, I remember that happening to when I really get into a story. Sometimes I'd finish a volume in only a few hours after buying it. It feels so good having it in your hands..

Also, glad to hear you enjoy the manga. I'll need to give it a look then.

Well, this looks fun, simple and cute   What's the original manga?

Oops, my mistake.  It's a Yuru Yuri spin-off titled Oomuro-ke.

Ooooh, now I recognize where the style came from. I still need to catch up on Yuru. I miss the quirky characters xD

So while I wait rather impatiently for my next volumes of Tokyo Ghoul to come, I decided to finish reading the first volume tonight, and I've got to say I absolutely loved every second of it! The first chapter... now THAT'S how you attract potential fans, and although it's just the beginning of the story, you sort of feel for Kaneki already, being stuck in his position must really suck, can't wait to see how it all plays out! It also has like a little bonus strip at the back, just two pages, which I thought was really neat.

Also found out there's a sequel series with a new cast called Tokyo Ghoul;re, it's already on the 12th volume in Japan, but the first hasn't even released in the west yet, not until October... so that's something to look forward to, although with volume releases being like two months apart, I might wait until the middle of next year and buy a few together.

I'm still looking around for new stuff too, if I can find anything similar to this it'd be great :o

Nice! Glad you're enjoying it. That first chapter still gives me chlls...what a way to open the story. @_@

Love that little meta-reference.

Surprised there's such a gap between the Japanese and English releases of Re: though. Haven't caught up yet, but I read an interesting spoiler about a recent chapter that sort of caught me off guard...in a good way. That won't come out for a while in volume form though. :P

If you decide you can't wait we can recommend some sites...though collecting physical volumes is also great.

I really like Maiko-san Chi no Makanai-san.  Not only is it a calm-yet-funny manga but it's also interesting in a real way.  Imagine being 15 or 16 in today's world and binding yourself to a lifestyle where you can't have cell phones, computers, or even fast food (most of the time).  You live in a dorm and when you show yourself in public you have to adopt the Japanese ideal female persona.  They can't even use regular pillows because the Maiko hairstyle has to be maintained most of the time.

It is good, I think Yuki is a fucking moron, but it is fine. Read the wiki to figure out the ending. People say they hate it because of the last part.

Oh well, I cannot help but read ahead. I will see how it goes.

I watched the Anime but never read the Manga.....

What did you think of the Anime? Only two seasons right?

It was actually pretty interesting in my opinion. I was expecting more are certain parts but it was good for what it was. And yes only 2 seasons
