Mizukami Satoshi (author of Lucifer and Biscuit Hammer, Sengoku Youko, and Spirit Circle) started his new manga recently.

Shows potential!

I've been waiting for him to begin something new.  Looking forward to it.

Also, finally Tensei Shitara Ken got an update! It's nice to see more of the sword guy and the cute cat girl, but man, it showed the graphic side of the manga again. A bit brutal what happens to a character in the chapter, even if they caused the commotion themselves. Also...

Fran is adorable in her new armor.  This is an interesting manga because I really don't know where it's going.  Just wish it updated more often.

I almost posted the exact same image.

Just watched ep. 1 of the Made in Abyss anime so I had to look up the manga.  The anime was so good.  I was really impressed and I absolutely loved the premise.  A massive abyss that represents the last unknown frontier on the planet with a town that supports the explorers perched on the rim.  Inside are mysterious creatures and relics of another civilization.  The children of explorers who lost their lives in the depths also train at the orphanage to join the ranks of the relic hunters.

The artwork in the anime is awesome but the artwork in the manga, though a lot rougher, might have even more personality.  I really like it.

I've been reading Rough Sketch Senpai lately.  It's ecchi but not really all that ecchi.  It's more about sexual tension and innuendo.  The main character is a female delenquent who is known for being being a great fighter but when she agreed to model for a boy from the art club, she had no idea how difficult it would be.  She gets flustered and embarrassed while posing and wondering what is going through his mind while looking at her so intently but she keeps coming back.  For the guy's part, he seems to be oblivous to everything but his desire to become a better artist.

Really, this is just wonderful.

Alright, sorry, this is the last one.  Shut up, I'm serious.  It's just too nice not to share and also it's now my desktop background.

Also, I remember seeing the artwork for Shingeki. It did look quite rough. It didn't look as great as the anime.

I would agree. Although, Shingeki is one of those series where you can noticably see the author getting better at drawing

Dang, is that really the same artist? It looks like a ramake/remastering, haha. Such a major improvement overall.

Also, the artwork for Made in Abyss looks faaaaantastic. I'd read it just for the artwork. Its very interesting too. It looks like watercolor or markers were used for shading, and that page with the wobbly panels is quite different from the norm too. The style looks familiar, kinda like the game Elebits.

Also, the manga about the yankee girl and glasses guy seems pretty funny because I've read manga with scenarios like that one, like Yandere Kanojo and... I forgot the other one, but it was a similar moment. If it's anything like those, I imagine it's also funny as well.

Onidere had glasses guy x yankee girl. I remember it being funny.

Haha, and there's another one to strengthen the trend.

Geez. Made In Abyss is ... brutal. The main characters might be kids and the art might be cute at times but that probably just makes the terrible things a lot worse.

There are some horrible people in this story. Perhaps they're made that way by the Abyss but, then again, maybe it's just that they're strong enough to survive it.

I admit that it has made me come very close to crying.

Edit:  Well.  Never mind the "very close" part.

Yeah, I've read the 1st chapter, and despite the cute artwork, it did feel like there was a darker side to it lingering underneath. I'll need to read more, though the 1st chapter was pretty long. If all the chapters are like that, it may take me a lil while to catch up.. @_@;

Well, a new Boku no Hero update came up, and... well:

That was a nice background story moment for Red Roit Though, I'm ready to get back to the present and see this small, fast looking version of the big guy kick some but!

Also, the side story with Bakugou and Ochako just cracked me up, especially her! Her expressions were just.. so great xD
